The greatest game that never was: 1993 Florida state vs Auburn. Auburn was 13-0 at that time and they could easily win SEC and play for national championship, but they were banned back then.

1993, the national title can go to either FSU,ND & Nebraska, they were good but I think Auburn was the team in 1993.

right...we stuffed Tebow the year they won in 2006...he got 1 total yard...we had one of the best goal-line defense in the 90s...stopped Nebraska's in the championship in '93...this wasn't a bowl game btw...it was during our '93 season, when we had Charlie Ward and Dunn, and Brooks, and many more..lol..Teams could score a 30-yard td on us, but if you made it within the 10, we just went into hulk mode..Tebow wouldn't have gotten shit..we stopped Frazier,arguably one of the best option QB's ever..

I remember that game with the gators winning 52-20...11 of FSU's starters were out with the flu..it was a mulligan for the gators...we should have played #2 Arizona State...we already played the gators and beat them 24-21..in Doak

I was 8 when it happened...we shouldn't have played them in the championship...I didn't cry, because I wasn't really in to football then...but when I heard about it later, it made me pissed...our programs peeked that year...that gators team was better than the 2006 team...Ike Hilliard, Fred Taylor, Mike Peterson, Jevon "Freak" Kearse, Danny Weurfull was good in college, not so much in the pros...we can't take away the fact that the gators destroyed OSU though..they deserved that one..

Yeah I always felt bad for Leak becuase his years under Zook weren't his fault and in Meyer's first year it was like trying to play basketball in golf shoes for Leak. In his senior year he finally somewhat got the hang of Meyer's offense and we did really well that year. I was at the game at doak in 06 that was a nail-biter. Everything was setting up for FSU to ruin UF's season but luckily for the Gators they came out of it wit a W. I think Bowden gets one more year, Jimbo's waited long enough.

congrats on the championship..but I think that Utah should have gotten the AP...too many teams had 1 loss...Utah beat Oregon State who beat USC, and they beat Bama by more than the gators did..remember, Meyer coached there haha...and Leak WAS treated like shit...he got booed, which was bullshit...he saved y'all in that game at Doak in 2006...Meyer only looked scared two times I saw him..yesterday, and against FSU in 2006..we have something y'all don't though..an undefeated season(1999)

If you compare Florida's body of work to Utah's theres really no comparison. Florida beat 10 bowl teams this year. Hawaii by 46, Miami by 23, Georgia by 39, FSU by 30, LSU by 30, Alabama by 11, Oklahoma by 10, Kentucky by 58, Vanderbuilt by 28, and South Carolina by 50. Utah would have probably lost at least 3 games with UF's schedule. And with Tebow staying for 09 I think Florida has a really good shot for an undefeated season. We have a really easy road schedule.
