  • me lembra as teleaulas de hitória da TVC

  • LA Story?

  • This is in one of my very favorite movies about L.A. Can anyone name it?

  • When I was a little kid my parents listened a lot to Enya. I remember this song from 15 years ago but never knew the name until 2 months ago. The rhythm stayed with me all my life, I'm so happy I finally found this song! It's pure bliss...

  • I nice variation from her usual vocal tracks. I love them all, but the harps in this one all alone are wonderful.

  • ✿◠‿◠) ´¯`*•.¸¸♥

  • I love this song! I havn't listened to it for months. I would play this constantly as I was falling asleep.

  • People seriously asking if this is based off of Link's horse. Absolutely not, considering this album came out over ten years -before- that game came out, let alone the fact I seriously doubt Enya's a gamer in any way, shape or form. Epona is a goddess of the horses, which is what Link's horse was named after as well. The song and Link's horse have absolutely no connection whatsoever. Beautiful song though, it's my favorite from The Celts!

  • the best :)

  • Favorite song of hers...LOVE.

  • LOL a load of comments are based on the Zelda games XD I somehow doubt this song was based on Link's horse. But it makes sense that the Epona was named after the Celtic Goddess of horses... The Zelda franchise does have a distinctly Celtic feel to it...

  • ...as to live inside a dream...

  • I wish some masterful graphic artist could create something showing Epona and the horses

  • Wow Ok people,i get a reply about every mounth about what this song is about.Ok i get it! STOP! And i made that comment so long ago.i was joking.

  • Comment removed

  • Very nice melody

  • Legend of Zelda And Celts 4 ever

  • Sounds Like something that should be in legend of zelda

  • Zelda Ocarina Of Time... Best game ever... I miss malon's song...

  • What... The... Fuck... ?????....

  • You can really feel a LINK (no pun intended) between the celts and Hyrule

sometimes i dream that I were Link a heroic and Great boy who in my opinon is the best Protagonist for a video game

Thank You Myamoto (plz excuse my spelling)

  • @MsDrugernaut I'll give you the thumbs up but I first thought of Chrono Trigger. :-D

  • anyone else here worship the goddess epona? ever since i was a little girl i was in love with horses and wolves. my room is entirely horse themed. btw, what would be some approriate sacrifices to epona and how to build an altar in less than 3 days? w/o getting caught doing so....

  • @lkellermanl543 Epona is delighted by simple pleasures. A round pile of fresh hay layed out in the sun, with the biggest, red apple and three juicy carrots on top of the pile. No special arrangement of the food is neccessary, but a handful of clovers strewn about the hay is a nice touch. Let the offering warm in the sun all day. At dusk set the hay on fire and send the offering to the gods. Songs and dancing can accompany the burning sacrifice.

  • This actually sounds like this comes from the legend of zelda , anyway what a good song XD

  • its interesting that many celtic and roman goddesses often were 'merged' together in time ! DDASHUNG is right about the facts! of course often before the romans there were differant names for epona depending on where in the celtic lands you were ! ie scotland, ireland, gaul etc

  • @andytubeism Incredibly ironic considering how much the Roman's loathed the Celts.

  • Epona was mainly the horse goddess of the gaulish celtic tribes at first; after the Gallic Wars she was adopted as the tutelar protector of the roman cavalry through which her then orientalized gallo-roman cult flourished among all the western part of the empire.

With time her cult was further modified and she was becoming a prime generalist agriculture goddess (as Demeter or Cybele) before burgeoning christianization put an end to it.

Of her original celtic cult, little is known.

  • Epona is the celtic Goddess of harvest and horses. ^.<

  • love this song

    its so nice..

  • Liitle is truely known about the Goddess Epona. She was the protector of Horses, dogs, and birds. She was the keeper of the keys to the underworld and led the dead there. she was dipictied as riding a white mare nude from the waist up. Epon is still worshipped today.

  • Epona is where the word pony came from.

  • Yep!...Old now, but yep!

  • Cool!

  • Hm, the harp, or harp like sound, sounds like horses galopping and playing around, now that you mention epona was/ is the goddess of horses ^_^

  • I am frequently overwhelmed and find myself in tears because of the sheer beauty of life. Listening to this has been another such occasion.

I think maybe crying is transmuting sadness, anger, pain and suffering, into love.

Peace people, we'll all get where we're going in the end, even if don't know where that is right now :)

  • best song ever. Back in the days I had a game froms Suske and Wiske, a Dutch commic and this song was played over and over in this game. I'ts just hipnotising

  • Epona is old celtic deity of horses and protector of horse riders

  • mouie5 The epona from the zelda games has to do with the Celtic goddess Epona. The godess was ruler over horses. Epona from the game zelda was named after the godess. XD

  • i use this as my wake up call on my mobil it nice

  • I love the baseline in this music. It supports but doesnt over power. The whole is so completely beautiful. I just wish it were longer but it wouldn't be perfect then. I would like to hear this on other instruments as well. I want to buy this for a ring tone hehe.. trite but oh well.

    gray

  • Enya dear you have tapped into the divine !! love love love

  • I love this song! I've came across it as an background music on a site about the legendary sled dog Balto xD

  • ok...first thought: what does enya has to do with zelda?

answer: truly nothing. its still good though

  • lol me TOO lol i was like ummmm ok i thought she was going to sing words to Epona's song i was lik "ok i want to hear this!" but i do love enya so this was just amazing as usual

  • This song is beautiful.

  • linda essa música, parece que se está numa aldeia da idade média , composta por cítaras, que lindo...

  • *snort* Epona... *thinks of Zelda* :) Well, reading the comments, at least I know why they call her that now.

  • No kidding me! :O we used this song in a theater play some time ago, and of course I fell in love with it, but never found out what its name was, damn here it is!!! :O

  • i could almost envision the Goddess. my eyes are welling up

  • Wow.

I heard this song a long, LONG time ago. I fell in love with it instantly, but I never found the name. Years later I've forgotten it until I accidentally stumbled upon it.

And I felt the same love for it now when I did years ago.

  • Epona?Does this have anything to do with that horse from the zelda games?

  • i don't know........

  • @objartel1991 Epona from the game Zelda was named after the Celtic godess Epona she protected horses.

  • @objartel1991 Celtic goddess of horses.:)

  • @objartel1991 indirectly yes it does, Epona was the Celtic goddess of horses, so the names of horse and song came from the same place but independently of each other.

  • @objartel1991 no thats actually the fairy horse that the king uses

  • Epona is the Keltic Godess of Horses, Fertility, and Nature. She is associated with the Water, Healing, and Death. Her name comes from "Epos" an evolved keltic word for Horse. When the Roman Empire invaded the British Islands they adopted her cult as the protector of cavalry and horsemen.

  • yes ! her name is literally "Divine Horse" !

  • :o I don't know. But I love those games :)

  • Different Epona dude. the one we are talking about is pure white and is a goddess. lol

  • @mouie5 Now why do I doubt that?

  • @mouie5 No, it has to do with the celtic god epona whose incarnate's Rhiannon. Read Divine by mistake by P.C. Cast to understand more of this stuff if you want to ;D

  • @mouie5 No, Epona is a celtic Goddess and the horse Epona from LOZ was named after this Goddess.

  • @mouie5 Epona is also the horsegod in greek mythology :)..

But yes, I'm thinking of Epona from Zelda as well <3 :D..

  • @mouie5 Epona is the Celtic Horse goddess

  • @mouie5 No, it isn't about the horse from Zelda. It's about a Celtic Goddess, who happens to be the Goddess of horses.

  • @mouie5 Sounds like it. XD

  • @mouie5 Epona is a horse Goddess. :]

  • @mouie5 Epona MEANS horse in celtic. Look at the latin word for horse "hippus" end "epona" (hipo and epo). End Epona was the Celtic Goddess of the horses. hope I helped ^^

  • @mouie5 Epona is the goddess of the horse

  • @mouie5

lol no, thats what my first reaction was too hahha. just coincidence lol

  • @mouie5 i was wondering the same thing!

  • @mouie5 This song is dealing with the Celtic origin Goddess Epona, whom the mare link rode was named after.

  • @mouie5 for shame

  • @mouie5 : No it is about a God protector of Horses and other animals.... en.wikipedia.DOT org/wiki/Epona

  • @mouie5 Well, Link's horse from the Zelda series IS named Epona, but Epona is also the Celtic Goddess, the protector of horses, mules and donkeys. She is also the Celtic Goddess of Fertility :)

  • close your eyes while you listen to it. It feels even better...

  • swear feels like twilight princess

  • thats a pretty instrumental lol

  • Delicate sounds that touch our souls... Thanks for posting!

    Thank you, Enya! Wonderful!

  • GOD I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it's beautiful ...

  • Thank you for posting this. It's such a beautiful song :)
