-Do bluesy bands likes Zeppelin, Floyd, Joplin, Doors, Hendrix, and The Who give you chills? Are you physically attracted to seeking truth in music? Well I am formally inviting you to take a listen to my channel, Using your open mind take the time to hear my tunes... And in case if you end up liking it, your subscribtion to my channel will help me in changing the world with my music. Much Love.
this is most definatly my most favorite song ever... how can you not love that beautiful melody. and my mother loves zeppelin so much she made me learn stairway to heaven at 10yr old so i could play it at her funeral one day. luckaly that day hasnt come yet... or am i so lucky? lol. ha anyways zeppelin rocks the past present and future. Do a tour and come to texas damnit!
Zeppelin don't fit under ANY 1 genre, but they DID, however, set the stage for metal/heavy metal. Many bands that are labeled as heavy metal will proudly anounce that they are heavily influenced by Zeppelin. Not sayin they created it, but without Zeppelin, the entire metal genre could be totally different.
Um...Led Zeppelin isn't heavy metal. They've done classic rock, blues, ballads, and even reggae (D'yer Maker), but they've never done heavy metal. Black Sabbath is heavy metal.
You're right. Even Page said they weren't Metal. His configuration was to have a great band that played hard blues rock and folk. And he never set out to be the greatest guitarist either. He was only looking for maximum emotional impact.
amazing video, but you gotta give JPJ and bonham more cred. although theyre not the image of zeppelin, theyre definately both as amazing at bass/keyboard and drums as jimmy and robert at guitar and singing.
haha, Led Zep originally wanted to call themselves Lead Zeppelin, as in the metal, but changed it to Led so the Americans would pronounce it correctly!
I couldn't agree with you more! I used to date the guitarist from Grand Funk railroad. His name is Mark Farner. What a jerk. I could tell some stories.....but I won't. He still owes me $200.00. He left me some old electric guitar that probably isn't worth anything.
Anyway, just wanted to drop you a line. I am new here on you tube.
This song was never, ever released as a single, however, it was made a staplemate of AOR stations all across this nation. On the 25th Anniversary of "Stairway To Heaven", Atlantic Records released a Promo-only CD Single of this song, in a big carboard fold-out. The original copy of this CD Single which is Still-Sealed, sells upwards to $150.00 or more. I have one that is Still-Sealed in the shrink-wrap. Also have a 12-track CD sampler that was released when the Unledded CD came out.
u r a fool, fool!! u r trying to push ur grank funk railroad stuff in a zoso vid...and that too in their most famous song!!....u r just wasting ur energy and time...this kind of advertising is negative advertising...comments like u posted is just gonna piss more people, like me, off...just wait and see.
bottom line:- if u dont like zoso...get the fuck out of their vid posts!!!
Man, your right I agree with you. I know my music, especially late 60s, 70s. GFR may have given zep a run for their money at a show in 69 but my point is they would not have done it too many times after that especially in the early 70s when the only other rock bands I would put along side Zeppelin as a live act would be Deep Purple or The Who.
put it this way robert plant is a great songer and who are we to judge who is a better one..every band is good but led zeppelin is better:P...no one can sound the same as rober plant no matter how good u are

Grand Funk SUCKS! Period. I would much rather listen to Led Zeppelin any day of the week over Grand Funky-Smelling Railrods.

The prototype for heavy metal bands, and their best-known song is a ballad. Funny how that works out.

I think heavy metal ruined rock. And I don't consider led zeppelin as heavy metal.

Grand Funk Railroad can't hold a candle to Zeppelin - EVER!
kymailman1 3 years ago
Check out my History of Grand Funk. You will see the truth.
PackedFunk 3 years ago
Skynyrd blew the Stones of stage in '76.
Hendrix blew everyone off stage especially The Who in 67.
Zep may have had a off night when Grand Funk blew them off stage in 69 but I doubt if they would have done it again in the 70s.
capetown99 3 years ago
Led Zeppelin was afraid to take the stage in Detroit '69 & pulled the power plug on Funk. Real class act.
PackedFunk 3 years ago
Facts are facts. You can't change history. I have the GFRxR History posted that states this clearly.
