OR you teach your kids how to read your own language and use subtitles.. every foreign film ever in america is in the original language with subtitles.. and yet we're the uncultured ones. literacy is a good thing.

Sure, just look at hollywood doing remakes of foreign films. "Let the right one in" came out this year and they already do a remake. "REC" came out last year followed by a remake in the same year called "Quarantine". Oldboy is next. American Location, american names. That's even worse than dubbing. Another example: Animes. "Detective Conan" is now called "Case Closed" and they renamed all of cast, giving them american names. Yeah you are the uncultured ones. DrHouse23m suggestion was a good one.
