In a way, I hate when great artists change their style (at their managements request) purely to make themselves more marketable.

I'm glad she's finally getting paid, as she deserves it, but we'll lose out on the great emotional side of her music that we all came to love.

I guess I'll have to settle listening to her older stuff over and over again, but to be honest, I don't have much of a problem with that :-)

@camhottylover usually i agree with you, but for some reason, i think because she is up front with her goals in this, that i don't mind so much.. she is an artist through and through, but she is not egotistical and fake about it like " ohhh i'm only doing this for the art maan" she has choosen this as her career and she wants to make money. I've been listening to her since about 2003 i think... and i'm just happy she is still making music, i enjoy all of it and wish her the best! :)

You and your songs and lyrics are a music reference to me. You're my favourite singer and despite all difficulties that u had till now, i know you and love your work. And you never been crappy! Being unknown is not the same as being crappy. There are a of famous artists that are a crap, nowadays.

Make some donation thing at your site or, like Radiohead did, sell your album online for a donation or a price lower that discographies do.

You dont have millions of fans but the ones u have love ya!

@VitorVitoriaBaia record companies don't pay artists they loan money to them which they have to pay back both in album sales and from their own pocket, they make about 8 cents for every dollar made and depending on the contract and how many albums sold might end up paying 30% - 90% of that 8c back to the record company
