How do you stop it skipping? i don't understand, no matter what software i use, cubase, audacity or mixcraft.. it seems to skip, by skipping i mean just cuts off the audio and recording for a few seconds. Its SO irritating, PLEASE get back to me!

@BWJx it could be a number of things man. latency! (if your computer is bad it will skip/if your running a mixer through it and its not wired properly/ and AISO drivers are needed for most programas i think) Check these things and maybe see if thats the problem.

i need some audio interface to buy and i have two alternatives to chose form, first is Tc konnect 6 and the CI2, and the only thin i want to know is whether the CI2 interface can communicate with Fl studio. and also want to know if the cubase Ai 5 has the Agent groove in it????

hey i just got cubase 5 and the CI2 having a bit of troubles when i plug in the top light coms on bright and the second one dull then the third not at all and when i plug my acoustic guitar in the playback sounds horable (but the guitarr sounds good) do you know how i could hook it up to make everything work? anyone got any advice please!??? thanks

the boss gt-10 is also an controller and in my cubase 5 full version i can use any canroller specially i have the DAW controller integrated in the yamaha N8

@kossumussu Yes you can. You can plug the GT 10 into both inputs in line mode for stereo. Make sure the phantom power is off.

I have a question. They show how to easily plug in a guitar, but what about a keyboard/synthesizer? If you had, say, a Yamaha Motif synth would you be able to plug it in, play it, and have it record right onto the Cubase AI 5 program?

This is my question... do you think that Cubase 5 full version will recognize the device and be compatible? I mean it is an almost obvious yes, but I just wanted to know is anyone else under that impression? I just dont want to be expecting integration with the Cubase 5 and it is not compatible. But I am saying it should be... what do you guys think?

I use it with Cubase 5. The CI2 is really meant to be used with 5ai (included) so some of the features won't work in 5. Also, there are no MIDI ports on the CI2 so you'll need something for that. It will work as a basic audio input for Cubase 5. It also has phantom power which is nice. I admit I like my Tascam US428 much better, but I couldn't get it to work with Cubase 5.

@jonesboy35757 If you invested the $500 on Cubase 5 you might as well invest another $500 in a better interface. The C12 is intended for newbs mainly. The C121 has more functionality and will probably make better use of the full features of Cubase 5. Then again, if you have to ask, maybe you should just buy the C12 and ditch the warez.

@moe5512 ezdrummer should work fine. VST3 is the latest standard but I'm pretty sure Cubase 5 is backward compatible to VST2. If it's a new installation you're fine as long as you have an available authorization.

Why is there even talk about Cubase SX3? That was released like in early 2005, almost 5 years ago! The market is moving towards simpler and better integrated solutions. You can't expect Steinberg (or any other company) to release new hardware products that are compatiple with older and discontinued softawre products. Do tyou see Digidesign releasing new hardware that are compatibple with Pro Tools version 6? I don;t think so. C'mon dude, be realistic and practical. Upgrade to the latest Cubase.

im assuming you have the only usable cracked version of cubase that's out there.........i used a cracked version for a while but nothing beats having the paid version cos if things go wrong you have support....and they are getting easier to use.
