I agree with t. He is just trying to give his child protection. It's like saying your kid don't skateboard your going to get hurt. They will do it anyways. So give them knee pads and a helmet i.e a condom. I also agree with the girls because they make a good point. If your 11 you should be thinking about something else besides sex. But that's how society is now adays. Internet porn. Peer pressure. I'm stuck in the middle. :/
omg I wouldn't give them the condom at all and then I would have a very long talk with them. It's so sad and rediculous how the age rate for sex gets younger and younger. Parents be responsible and be involved more in your child's life.
i would not give my 11 year old child a condom because i don't want to encourage them to go out and have sex. And i would not want to be responsible if anything happened to them because i gave them the condom. it would be there own fault if they went to have sex.
After watching all three parts to this I have say, as a teenager myself, a big part of it is educating you children about sex. i totally agree with the man on his point about he would feel better about his child coming to him about the subject rather than some teenage doing it first. The ladies made excellent points about not condoning the behavior by not giving them the condom, but by trying to scare your child out of having sex is only going to scare them out of bringing anything else to you.
At 11 you have no true concept about sex, its resbpnsibility & the consequences. At 11 if they thinking about sex that's 'cause they have too much time on their hands. They should be focusing on their studies, having childhood fun, extra curricular activities. Parents need to be involved in their lives instead of TV raising them. The parents need to be parents to their child, not their friends. You can have a close relationship w/ur child & ur child know you are thier parent not their friend.
OK sure, but then in that relationship, the child & parent have to understand that there r times when the parent must "parent" & when they can b a friend. You have to admit, having a close & open relationship w/ur child as a parent, is different than being a total friend.
