Hi there, I just had custom lntralase done last thursday and my near vision is excellent but distance is still a bit blurry. I was nearsighted at 4.75 both eyes. My dr says everyone heals differently so it might take a few weeks or so for my distance vision to come to 20/20 or hopefully 20/15. Has anyone had a similiar experience or can provide insight...thanks so much!!! I am worried about the distance vision!!!!!
Is this video legitimate? It seems rather blatent as a commercial. Lasik surgery is a legitimate subject for discussion on youtube, and some videos demonstrate the serious dangers. But this "I love my results from Dr. Rubin" just seems so tacky. If the guy merely said, I had lasik surgery and really love the results it would seem like a legitimate posting and not a promo piece for a particular doctor.
Maybe your are perceiving in a different way. This guy is happy of the result from Dr. Rubin, which means that he is satisfying with the outcome of the procedures that was done by Dr. Rubin. Remember people think differently and perceiving in different ways. :)
You should be 18 years old (21 for some lasers), since the vision of people younger than 18 usually continues to change. If you're myopic, you should postpone Lasik until your refraction has stabilized, as myopia may continue to increase in some patients until their mid- to late 20s. If you have Lasik to correct your distance vision, you'll still need reading glasses around age 45. Weigh the risks and rewards. If you're happy wearing contacts or glasses, you may want to forego the surgery.
According to the FDA .....there have been no reported cases of blindness following either PRK or LASIK, says James Salz, M.D., clinical professor of ophthalmology. However, FDA is aware of a few instances of severe eye injury requiring corneal transplant.
do the starbursts and halos go away for the vast majority of people?

Doesn't your eye prescription change over years naturally, don't you have to have another procedure if it did?
