Propaganda isn't just the media, or shit you see on the news, it's any influence on a community's beliefs or attitude toward some cause or position. As much as you may not see it, when you're reading a US History book, you're taking in information that is brought to you from only one perspective. Every high school student in the US is reading it and believing it, too.

While you're learning that Samuel Slater's mill brought Industrial Revolution to America, kids at my school are learning that Eli Whitney's inventions did so. Who is to say that while we're learning these things, somewhere else, people aren't learning otherwise? How can someone really prove to you that Samuel Slater's mill was the cause of IR?
