I got some questions and I really hope someone can answer this because I'm producing my own music and want to get some tips.

In this video I can see that they are using pro tools, am I right?

second question: are they designing their own sounds within pro tools or are they using the sounds from the synthesizers they have and using the effects within pro tools?

I use Reason 5 and I only have a midi controller so i have to make my own sounds. Are pro producers using industry made sounds? thanks!

@boatofcoins they use logic studio, its only for macs since the 5.5 version. In the earlier days it was available for windows computers too :/ if they produced their own sound in their tracks depends on how they like it, i mean its all about it in music, you can take a preset and change it in the Virtual synthesizer (VST) but the piano is a preset i think. You should try tweaking and not worry about how you gonna use or create your sound because SHM did it this way. Find your own style, cheers

@boatofcoins get hold of some vst or AU synths and start tweaking! It's always good to modify sounds to suit your track 100%. Do not try to make tracks around preset sounds only - unless its HUGE of course. Like Kamil mentioned, they are using Logic Studio, which is one of the factory standards almost. Cubase and Fruity Loops are also big when making electronic music.
