awesome vid. loved the "woopin' and a hollerin'" in ya lid! i did my first ever trackday at cadwell last month but it rained all day and was called off at 2. cant wait to do it in the dry! did oulton last month and im goin again tuesday. i gotta say i shout the stupidest things in my lid. its the adrenaline!

Yep. It's a pretty cool track. It's just down the road from me so I'm pretty lucky. A lot of my mates who do trackdays with me a surprisingly not that bothered and we end up driving all over the place to other tracks in the UK to try something different. Some people don't realise how lucky they are!

Hi FawnPawn. The camera was an ordinary mini DV camcorder which is mounted on the tank on a little tripod which has three sucker feet(backed up by lots of Gaffer Tape!) I got the tripod from an advert in one of the bike mags a few years ago. Unfortunately all the more recent videos have had to be rear mounted as track day organisers no longer allow anything to be mounted to the tank for safety reasons.

It was Intermediate group. I have been in the fast group occassionally but this day happened to have a lot of racers and fast lads so intermediate was probably more my level.

Hi Mate, great video. I've been watching it over and over for the past 2 weeks before I rode at Cadwell for the first time last Friday. What a circuit, absolutely loved it, and I found your gear selections really useful. I ended up using gears I probably wouldn't have done without your vid, thanks a lot as it made my day all the more enjoyable.....especially as I ended up being quicker than one of my mates who'd been to Cadwell before!!

Haha what a laugh we had, I am the pilot. If you look closely you can see the digital gear indicator, does anyone disagree with the gear selection? Richard - damn those new R1's are fast in a straight line!

National this year so I can race the roads in 2009 (Ireland, Manx GP etc). Not a big fan of short circuit 2 be honest. Spent 2 years living in ireland helping out with road race meeting. Go watch Skerries, Kells over there. As they say, 'Real Road Racing'. It is incredible 2 watch. That is what I really want to do. Rich

I missed the last session cause my hip was killing me, just recovering from a minor op on it and it was cramping up on me pretty bad on the left hookers. My R1 is a 2004 and about 50% track bike, bit of work left to do on it yet. It's off to Chris Gungsters to get mapped before my first clubman meeting. Currentl putting out 158bhp, should be good for 165bhp+ after a few more mods & a play around. Will start as Int Novice this year. Plan is 2 work through 2 my

Hi Richard.Pretty pleased with how the video turned out. You are right about the road racing thing. I grew up in Northern Ireland and went to quite a few events there when I was younger. I'm the bloke on the orange bike in the video by the way.
