Of all random instruments, why did she want a tuba? Nothing wrong with that of course, but as a kid I always wanted some kind of keyboard or a guiter. But that Sousaphone is bigger than she is! :)

We've responded to this type of comment before- we did not pay $10 grand for this tuba- that would be ridiculous. We researched ebay and contacted band friends and as a result we have this tuba on extended loan. She still plays it every day. Good luck finding your alto sax.

I understand and share your sentiment, I don't believe at all in giving children everything that they want, however, when kids express an interest in music, I am going to do everything I can to support their interest. It is not at all a waste, in fact, this tuba has been used on stage by this little girl in the recent production of The Music Man, where she not only played it, but stole the show. I hope that you may be able to find a tuba for your school. I found several used ones.
@voiceofchuck after thing it over i understand your point and was a little irate when i wrote this i did not know that she could acaulay play and to her prantes im deeply sorry may she excel and go on to be the first chair tuba player of the best symphony of the world god bless and thank you for teaching me that lesson
its a shame a first class like that sousaphone like that is going to waste my school dosent even have ones as good as that but we try to make do what a waste. Heres some advise stop giving your kid everything she wants just tell her NO!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean shes just going to break it anyway.
