It's amazing how much torque the C5 Z06 has. It's like riding a wave of torque in any gear. Very smooth driving. Though the Porsche driver must be having a blast running through the gears. Torque is addictive but so is a high winding screamer. Track days are so much fun!

the corvette rarely shifts gears, you'll see him reach once in a while. You can't even hear the corvette. The car you hear is the very loud 911 turbo

The old 911 (993) was very well driven, but the new Vette does look faster.

Just a shame there were so many Bum-Wipes (BMWs) in the way, slowing things down. Obviously, BM stands for "Blocking Machine", and W?.. Well you can guess! ;o)

shorter gearing on the porsche wasnt helping its cause. The z06 driver seemed like he was pacing the porsche; he had several opportunities to pass but didnt do it. Excellent driving though

Very nice video. But the the Corvette is a 2001 C5 Z06, not a C6 Z06.

Great video! That is one loud Porsche to be able to almost completely drown out the sound of the car you are riding in. But by listening and watching the driver's hand, you can tell the Porsche has to shift a LOT more often than the Z06.
