I bought the game when it came out in 2006... I played right up in till 2010 when i lost the disk to install it and play. I just bought it off ebay for about 15$

This is a citybuilder, you can't compare it to a TBS like Total War or Civ4.

Sierra Entertainment made the best city builders in my opinion, too bad they went out of business :/. As for the Civilization series, I liked Civ3 better, the new Civ4's economy system was not to my liking, I like the old shield system better even with the corruption cache hanging to it.

Helllp my citizens dont work? i have a stone quarry right by the stone, and i have a warehouse next to it, as well as 3 basic houses, i have set it up just like you...but still they go home and neva work? hellpppp i only just got the game.

I am still playing stronghold games at the moment, mostly because no matter how many age of empires/mythology etc.. or any other games like these, none have been as good as stronghold.

I have been thinking about getting this game but not sure if its worth it and if anyone has played strongold games, is it as good as them??

I have tried Imperium Romanum and I LOVE it! I think I'll buy it... but I have heard this is better... I will maybe buy this instead... I have also tried Caesar 4 and it SUCKED SO HARD!

Get Caesar IV instead, it's much better. Sid Meier is great, but CivCity Rome is lacking & was a big disappointment. Economic campaign was way too easy even set to "hard" & the military campaign was way too hard even set to "easy". Military in this game is total crap. Game has it's good points but there are other games out there that are better. Frankly, I even think that Caesar 3-a game nearly a decade old-was better than CivCity Rome.

Rome: Total War is a war game and therefore very different.

I enjoy Civcity: Rome for it's complex economy but my favorite (moodwise) is Glory of the Roman Empire.

I haven't played Caesar IV enough to judge it but the requirements are the highiest. The game doesn't look good on older computers.

Pax Romana is an intersting game but is very buggy...we're hoping for a decent sequel by AGEOD but i can take a while.

you should watch how many poeple work and then lay down that many houses. the game is really easy, I've beat it the 2nd day I bought it, but still a good game.
