Yeah, I guess my reply wasn't really on topic. Now, to get back to it:
So, land looks "Israeli" to you as long as Arabs aren't spitting on residents or throwing rocks at kids - well then, I'd suggest you not immediately tell everyone in Ramallah or Jordan or Cairo that the land their on must be Israel's, even though that land fits the definition you're setting up.
Actually, when seized West Bank land is under Israeli control it is the settlers who spit on and throw rocks at the Arabs!
Actually, Israeli land in the West Bank settlements usually has the stink of poor Russian and Eastern European religious whackjobs. Just like the worst kind of Jews possible- you know, the ones the bring with them lots of cases domestic abuse, a storm of alcoholism, and a metric shit-ton of delinquent youths spreading hate crimes all over the place just like they did in their garbage dump towns before they came to Israel.
They're the people you just hope end up have embarrassing deaths.
This "Palestinian" land you speak of is Jordan. The Arabs are occupying Jewish land here. The Jews can walk wherever they want in their own land. Arabs are dangerous killers and not innocent at all. The reason these Jews carry weapons is to defend themselves. Why would they want to cause trouble with children with them? They are just walking on Jewish land.
The "settlers" are allowed to walk through wherever they want - the film maker misses this point. When the film maker says, "this is not their land," he misses the fact that it is disputed territory, and that shepherds are governed by a complex set of communal rules by which nobody "owns" any of the land anyway. So anyone can go wherever they want.
The film maker misunderstands the culture almost entirely. Also, it is not good to lie to the IDF, and conceal where you are from.
What is disputed about when international law says the settlers and settlements (COLONIES) are ILLEGAL - and Israel must remove them and their military?
"The United Nations and other major international bodies consider the settlements a violation of international law, though this is disputed by Israel and some legal scholars. The position of the United States has been mixed. Under Israeli law, West Bank settlements must meet specific criteria to be legal; unauthorized communities which do not meet these criteria exist and are called illegal outposts."
So you can save your over-simplified views for someone else.
Settlers are good people. They just want to build communities for everyone. I didn't see any "problems" that they were giving the sheperd or the herd. Looked like they were just going for a nice walk. (Like the soldier said at the end that "people get nervous" in those parts of the country because there are murderous terrorists that prey on sweet & good hearted, regular humans.
