There is a down side to every system, but the American way, has always been capitalism, where people have the opportunity to work hard and move above the station their parents came out of. "Fair" is relative.

The American way has always been capitalism because of the sweet potential of the new land itself and that's grand. However my generation (I'm 18) is the first generation that will not have it better than our parents. Raw potential has run out as long estasblished companies swing their hard financial power around and force us to work for the long obsolete minimum wage.

The reason I see it as 'fair' and you don't is purely down to opinion. I prioritize the side of socialism where everybody gets safety & comfort. And you just focus on the problems- where half the people are pretty much doing nothing and relying on the other half for said safety. Too many flaws, but some good can come of socialism.

The two happening simultaneously is a physical impossibility. There has to be givers and takers. If there are only takers, there's nothing to take. Therefore the givers are slaves to the takers, which removes the "fairness". Nothing good comes of socialism. History has proven that time and time again.

They've been trying to save these "islands" almost since they built them. Nature tells YOU where an island goes, not the other way around. Those people lost those homes, because they think they are above every law, even the law of nature.I used to live in Sharjah. I wished I was still there just to laugh at the destroyed islands.
