Boy oh Boy did I love my 73 Manta! I got it for $400 and built the motor with high end parts from CR cars. Big GM valves with ported head high comp pistons and the lot. Several years after getting the car in the condition I wanted, a nice motorist rear ended me and wasted my Manta :-(
it seems that this car also get it's cult-status outside germany! NICE!
