I also once drove cross country in a convertible with the top down most of the way. Mine started in Los Angeles and ended in Chicago. Now if only I'd taken a time-lapse video like you did. So having done this myself, I really liked this video.

It wasn't green screened. If you watch the mirrors, they reflect the road they are travelling on. And if you pay attention, they guys' hair do move.

a fast exposure time on the camera he was using in addition to the interval of the shots inbetween would make his hair look more still than if it was a direct recording

(also you can still see his hair moving, but it looks jerky, like a time lapse usually does)

1) It's not his video, read the description.

2) If you would pay attention to #1 and the video you could see there are lot of jump cuts & transitions (the roof the car appears and dissapears without you seeing him touching it). Gass stations were most likely cut off.
