Why should a recession exist just because of bad advice?Recessions are a natural symptom of capitalism, they always existed and they always will,no matter how smart someone thinks to be.Are you all serious?Capitalism requires good and bad times to even work somehow, some people win and some must loose. So if you are fine with this system suck it up.Im not picking on the guy,i like him,but dont think good wil alone and beeing smart will change a symptom of the system.
I'm a bit suspicious to why he didn't mention Alan Greenspan (predecessor to Ben Bernanke) and former President GWB's "every american should own a home" policy..
If he's truly non-partisan (a.k.a. Libertarian), why single out democratic Dodd Frank/Geithner/Obama/Bernanke without mentioning their republican counterparts who initiated these policies in the previous administration?
From this video alone, I prefer Ron Paul as he seems to realize both parties are in cahoots with each other
Don't go looking for things to be suspicious about. You can't fight every battle at once and he is fighting the battles he is faced with. A responsible leader picks his battles, and lets face it... there are NONE worse than Geithner. Past or present.
I hate it how people believe certain things and then distrust anyone who fights for half of those things but not all of them. Who else is fighting in the Senate?
@EriPages You prefer Ron Paul? You do realize the apple never falls far from the tree.
Ron Paul is the ideological standard to which a movement is created. Rand Paul is the eloquent statesmen (Cicero of our time) who will forge an alliance of libertarians and conservatives, without which we libertarians are doomed to the footnotes of history.
I've seen Rand Paul reach out and win over people who HATE Ron Paul. I'm eloquent myself but he's won over relatives of mine I could never win to Ron.
@Cyrus255 You got it backwards. I don't agree with everything Ron Paul says, but he makes sense a lot of the times. Rand Paul is the scary one. He's almost got a cultish gleam in his eye over his utter, hatred of Obama. It's alomost like a modern day Crusade or witch hunt. People who think government should have little, or no role are basically scary. I think I just described the whole Tea Party.
@Velayasha If you lived your whole life in the 20th century, you were over 20 times more likely to die at the hands of a democratic government genociding it's own people, than at the hands of a murderer.
You would of also been a dozen times more likely to die from a government aircraft bombing your city with napalm (burning women and children alive like the USA did at Dresden, or by slow radioactive poisoning such as the children of Hiroshima suffered). Government is always the problem.
@Velayasha If you want charity or helping the poor, look to private organizations. They do a lot better job of it. All government knows how to do is oppress.
US private charitable contributions are over $300 billion a year.
Studies have shown they are more than three times more efficiently spent than federal tax dollars.
The US government itself only gives about $250 billion/yr in charity (medicare).
And that USED to be taken care of by all the churches (most hospitals have religious names).
@Cyrus255 Sorry, but I don't buy it. If private charities was all it took to help those in need, then poverty and hunger would be solved already. It's foolish to think that we need no government, or just tiny govts. There a book about that. It was called Lord of the Flies. Somalia has a very weak govt. That's why most of it is run by warlords and pirates. I don't believe in excessive government either. But people like you don't believe in balance.
@Velayasha Also, if you've seen the photos of innocent children blown apart by Obama's bombs in Libya as I have (it almost made me vomit), it's hard not to hate a mass-murderer.
@Cyrus255 You are also a demagogue. Obama is no more guilty of mass m, than Lincoln or Churchill. I'm not saying I trust the motives behind the Libya action. It's hard for me to believe it was pure altrusim. But even so, if NATO hadn't intervened, Libya's casualties would look more like Syria's. Right now, it more like Detroit's in a hot summer month. Obama's, Cameron and Sarkozy's actions likely caused LESS casualties.
@Velayasha Churchill is guilty of mass murder so you're example is fitting. Churchill actually ORDERED genocide, it's called "Operation Keelhaul" where the USA/UK handed over a million Russians to be executed by Stalin it was dubbed the "Betrayal of the Cossacks" where we handed over many Russians who had fought for the Allies, and forcibly repatriated them. Most of the soldiers who handed them over still cry about it today as the Russians would shoot them within earshot of the Allies.
@Cyrus255 What kind of turnip truck did you fall off of? I think by now, everyone knows that war is hell. It's bloody, cruel and it sucks. Describing images of people blown apart won't stop mankind from having wars. Innocents die and mass killings happen. That's what war is for. I really hope you never rise to any kind of power. People like you would let genocides happen for any despot willing to do it. The same children you mention, would be slaughtered by your inaction.
@Velayasha And you're deflecting blame irrationally, you're saying the children blown apart by bombs Obama ordered are justified because it *may* have prevented Gaddhafi from killing people?
If that's the case, then I know a former murderer in my neighborhood, would I be justified blowing up his house and family because he *might* kill other people as Gaddhafi *might*?
Two wrongs never make a right. And for every 1 gaddhafi supporter we blew up we accidentally bombed 2 rebel fighters.
@Cyrus255 There is another man who thought exactly as you do. His name was Neville Chamberlain. If you don't already know, you should look up who he was and the consequences of his inaction in the name of "peace".
@Velayasha So you think Gaddhafi is Hitler? So Lincoln was Hitler too in your mind?
Because all Gaddhafi (who otherwise helped modernize Libya to be the most successful African nation) did was fight to keep his country unified and out of the hands of Islamist terrorists. Obama's own advisers have admitted that many of the "rebels" are former enemies who came back from Afghanistan/Iraq.
So in your mind, fighting a civil war against your people (Lincoln, Gaddhafi) is the same as genocide?
@Velayasha Also, if you think the Allies were innocent in WW2, you are highly misinformed. The Allies committed genocide as well. Hitler killed 10 million, but our two "allies" Stalin and Mao killed over 100 million by genocide.
The US committed genocide (1 million killed depending on accounts) in Operation Keelhaul, one portion of which was the famed "Betrayal of the Cossacks". Don't forget the firebombings of Dresden & Tokyo (over 1 million civilians killed), and the two nuclear bombs.
@Velayasha As bad as Hitler was, it's arguable that if Hitler had conquered all of Russia and Japan conquered China, that there would be more people alive today. Hitler was a horrible and evil man. He killed 10 million and had he conquered Russia likely would of killed 5 million more.
Problem is: our allies Stalin and Mao were worse people and killed roughly 100-120 million in total. Had they lost to Germany and Japan it's arguable that 100 million more people might of survived.
@Cyrus255 Hitler's plan was to depopulate a large amount of land that it inteded to occupy from Poland and in through Soviet Union. They were going to empty all the cities of peole and destroy the cities.
@VinceP1974 But Hitler was going to die in a 1945-1946 of natural causes anyways and he would of never been able to follow through. Plus a large portion of the troops who fought against the Soviets were the "White Russians" numbering hundreds of thousands. These people were loyal Russians who would've turned on the Nazis if there was any chance of them doing that. Also, most Germans would of never allowed a "Betrayal of the Cossacks" like the USA did (we genocided them).
@Velayasha The USA also committed genocide in the Philippine-American War, and most historians estimate we genocided 1.4 million people. The USA had a "commission" to try to cover it up, but to their dismay, the key witnesses themselves ADMITTED it and called them "savages". Teddy Roosevelt was the military governor (but your history book calls him a hero).
So that + native american genocides + operation keelhaul = ~4 million US genocides. People always justify war like you do but it's ugly.
@Velayasha It's also arguable that Hitler genocided the Jews needlessly BECAUSE of the war (they thought it was wasting needed war resources to feed them for example). It's called the "FINAL Solution" for a reason.
Hitler had suggested deporting the Jews many times, one of which was the "Madagascar Plan". The Allies often refused to accept Jewish immigrants (a VERY overlooked part of history).History might've been different if the UK (who controlled Israel) offered to give them a homeland.
The advisers arent dumb, they have an agenda and Rand Paul knows that. I fear for people like Rand and his father because they are going against to slow, orchestrated downfall of America's economy and the rest of the worlds currencies, so the "new world" currency can be introduced to further the new world Gov agenda.

@boat6868@JK4C2012 There's a rumor Rand Paul would be vice-president for Ron Paul. What most Tea Party members/Cain supporters don't realized is that the GOP war/bank machine hijacked the movement. "Occupy Wall Street"people warned not to let their efforts get hijacked (like the GOP hijacked the Tea Party)
We've all heard terms like "New World Order", but it was recently pointed out to me that it's really a Jew World Order. They're the bankers, all media, and control our foreign policy (all our wars are for Israel's benefit).
I agree with the fella that told me, Dump the Jew World Order!
How about a vote of No Confidence for all the morons in Congress & Senate & in the White House.... OHHHH and the Supreme Court as well for not upholding the Constitution. American politics is - at best - a sick joke.
@eagleeye1975 They say it won't likely come to a vote in the Dem Senate. Also... they say Dems tried this with that question dodging Roberto Gonzalez a few years back. Also, the vote doesn't matter in real terms. We don't sack people. May as well run the country like a reality show and vote people off and silly people in. Can't do much worse:D
Geithner & Bernanke disliked this.

@Velayasha Small government is scary? Small government can't oppress. Even if we had complete anarchy, you would be safer than in a Republic.
Republican genocides:
Weimar Republic = 10 million
Soviet Republics = 50 million
People's Republic of China = 60 million
-----
120 million of their OWN people just by those 3 countries in 20th century.
total global murders? 8 million.
United States? 1 million genocided in Philippine-American War (they don't teach it in school)

@boat6868 @JK4C2012 There's a rumor Rand Paul would be vice-president for Ron Paul. What most Tea Party members/Cain supporters don't realized is that the GOP war/bank machine hijacked the movement. "Occupy Wall Street"people warned not to let their efforts get hijacked (like the GOP hijacked the Tea Party)
Napolitano suggests common goals.
End the Fed
End the wars
End the income tax

Oh yeah, even Geithner, Bernanke, and Greespan, and on and on....all are Jewish with loyalty to Israel.
Look into it yourselves, fellow "Goyim".

We've all heard terms like "New World Order", but it was recently pointed out to me that it's really a Jew World Order. They're the bankers, all media, and control our foreign policy (all our wars are for Israel's benefit).
I agree with the fella that told me, Dump the Jew World Order!

Geithner is a failure. Thank you Rand for addressing this issue!

That's a start! Now if Dad could just get elected President, we might have a chance.

How about a resolution to bring the bastards up before a grand jury?
CurtHowland 5 months ago
So, Senators........how many of Geithner's policies are working?
Less than one I see.
Prepare for a No Confidence vote soon against you also.
sciflyer67 5 months ago
@sciflyer67 As wonderful as that would be, the Senate has never had less than an 80% reelection rate.
CurtHowland 5 months ago
How about a vote of No Confidence for all the morons in Congress & Senate & in the White House.... OHHHH and the Supreme Court as well for not upholding the Constitution. American politics is - at best - a sick joke.

Rand Paul is pretty brave. Too bad he has to be racist since he is a Republican (sarcasm).

What was the result?
eagleeye1975 5 months ago
@eagleeye1975 They say it won't likely come to a vote in the Dem Senate. Also... they say Dems tried this with that question dodging Roberto Gonzalez a few years back. Also, the vote doesn't matter in real terms. We don't sack people. May as well run the country like a reality show and vote people off and silly people in. Can't do much worse:D

Glad someone is doing this.
