WOW! GORGEOUS arrangement! I love this song and like ethangeoffrey, it gets me every time. I thought it was a powerful song the first time I heard it on a Christian radio station years ago. My boyfriend is a U.S. Marine and the song has even more meaning now. I had a hard time sometimes while he was deployed, but I can't imagine what his family must have been going through. He is still their little boy. Thank you to all those who serve so that we don't have to. I could never do what you guys do.

my choir had a veterans concert and we didnt sing this but i wish we would have but we had the vets come up on stage and as we said there name we saluted them and a veteran came up to my teacher and said ever scince he got home he didnt feel apriciated until we did our concert and i had tons of vets after the concert come up to me and thank our choir and we got tons of mail but i think next year i am going to metion to sing this song its soooo pretty

I think alot of people are missing the true finesse of this song. You all hear the soloist (who was AMAZING) and its like you miss the meaning of the SONG. If you listen to the lyrics while they sing them [beautifuly, i might add].. You will have to cry everytime. Everytime i watch this ballad i tear up at the very least. The vocals, the emotion, everything that this choir put into this song has made it one of the most meaningful ballads ever to hit the show choir stage. Major, major props.

Mt. Quick question, I haven't found any SATB music on this yet. Who was your arranger?

If your looking for this arrangement, you probably wont find it. Mt. Zion uses (or used at least) a private arranger out of state for all of their competition songs.

I have seen some SATB arrangements out there, but none are even close to this and are pretty plain and not exciting at all.

Also, just for the record, Mt. Zion probably holds the rights to this arrangement since it was made specifically for them.

as for the negative comment people...you obviously have no idea how accoustics work in the areas where show choirs perform...normally accoustics are against you and it is very hard to accomplish the sound quality and diction this show choir has I'm very impressed and glad to say I was in show choir in high school too!!!!
