This game better be worth the $200 I'm gonna shell out for a 3DS. Good gimmick nintento, making this 3D only and stuff.

@JabuJabule Yeah I know, but I kind of hate the fact that I need to buy a whole new ds to enjoy one game. My special edition mario ds lite works just fine for me. I'll probably end up buckling and buying one, and business wise, that's a great move for nintendo. They know how big of a market animal crossing is, and releasing it for just the 3ds is going to bring them in so much more money than just releasing it to the ds. I may not like it, but there's no doubt it's a smart move.

@AccioYesterday I don't think you understand. The 3DS is NOT a DS/Lite/i. It's a COMPLETELY new system. It just has backwards compatibility, just like the Wii can play GC games. So no, you're not buying a completely new DS. You're buying a brand new 3DS, that you can use to play both 3DS and DS games. Understand?

@JabuJabule Yes I do understand, I get that it's different.I haven't been saying that the systems are the same, maybe it came off as that, but that's not what I meant. I was just saying that it was smart of them to release animal crossing to the 3ds in my own cynical way.I *wish* there was a way I could just get it on the normal ds, but obviously it's made differently. I get that, I always have. I just wish it wasn't the case.I'm not saying they're the same, that'd be like saying a wii is a gc.

LOVE Animal crossing and am looking forward to playing this game. However given the state of the current economy i will be waiting until Obama is out of office to make any entertainment purchase. As of now i still don't own the device it's played on.Eventually i will get this , i LOVE the game so much i do plan to own it someday.

Im going to go ahead and say this right now, i bet the EU and possibly the USA copy's of the game WILL NOT allow the males to ware skirts for the soul reason of cross-dressing in a children's game, i for one dont really care and find it both funny and strange but hey it happens.

@mariofan101 I know what you mean. Although, since this is a Nintendo game, they usually don't deviate from the original game itself. I just hope they keep it the same. I find it kinda funny that guys can wear skirts and dresses :)

@mariofan101 Ehh, you may be right but in City Folk/ Let's go to the City, Guys could get girl's hairstyles and wear wedding gowns and feminine clothes. I don't mind it, the way I see it, it's totally the players choice what their character dresses like and does. So if they don't like the idea of cross-dressing, they can simply not engage in it.
