  • I do not need government monotoring MY CHILDREN!

  • The narrator looks like he's on meth. Pretty weird looking.

  • Classic case of ridiculous, laughable hyperbole that simply seems to predict some crazy news story about a case of "educational abuse", which BTW hasn't been widely reported yet. I'm homeschooled and I'm like everyone else with socialization, I have friends, and I'm not some sick knife-wielding maniac as many of these idiot critics would just love to think. Hey, I'm different, even pretty weird sometimes, but I know I'm getting an education, no doubt about it, and not being abused.

  • yeah homeschooling w00t

  • Thanks for this informative info.

  • Well if the courts cant do it alone: OBAMA will get yall!! jk - But seriously he stands on the line of socialism and communism! Everything are founding fathers stood against, and will hate the idea of kids not being taught by the state of this brave new world!!

  • the government isn't doing a good job at overseeing public schools and some want to stick their fingers into our home schools? Control freaks.

  • Haha. I'm homeschool'd and I teach myself. I always get high scores every year on my SAT's, and what not. :)

  • I'm homeschooled, and I always score post highschool on SATs. I'm getting a great education at home and I don't need the democrats trying to take away my rights and put me in their schools. I have nothing against kids in public schools, alot of my friends aren't homeschooled. I'm just like everyone else who goes to public school, except I don't have liberal teachers trying to force their agendas on me everyday.

  • @rockdude4 yeah exactly. Not to mention,we support ourselves. We receive no support from state, nor are we permitted to even participate in public school clubs. I don't need their help though, because, well....yeah....fuck 'em

  • haha, Judge Judy DOES think she's better than everyone else.

  • The government is in place for protection and has become out of control. It was never set up to become involved in the private homes of its citizens. I have had kids in public, private, and home school. My son ranks in the 98% in Math in all state wide testing. Home school IF done right can place shame on many public school systems. GO HOME SCHOOLERS

  • Yeah, this judge is nuts. He is making illogical and foolish assumptions. First of all, it doesn't require homeschooling to abuse your children. Secondly, the majority of abusive parents send their kids to PUBLIC school.

  • Oh yes, we should listen to what the government says. Oh wait, these are the same people who run public schools. Public school forces children to work very hard each day since the low age of five years. Do you think if they're forced to sit in a class for six hours a day, then when they come home they do homework to be motivated? Obviously not. Now they will be less motivated to go to college and receive a degree.

  • :D helo. i am badlyy ajustd howmskool childe all mi lf. my mommy sticks me in a closet and makes me read the bible for 3525325 hours a day. jst thot i'd say helo.

If I had to say who was the control freak here, I'd say it's the people who want to tell my parents how they're supposed to raise me, with no regard to personal beliefs. Sorry, I thought I was living in America, the Magical Land of Tolerance. My bad. c:

  • Homeschoolers are taught by unqualified parents. A good percentage of Homeschooler parents are control freaks and abusers. Many people are homeschooled by religious wackos for religious wacko reasons. I think parents should be made to get a degree in education before becoming their childrens soul educator and I strongly believe these families should be monitored by social services and the school board. There's no real rrason not to let your kid attend a public or private school.

  • I totally agree with you. I have never met a homeschool parent that wasnt a Jesus freak that liked to make us regular parents who work feel like we down love our kids.

  • your grammar sucks. to spell you are is like this "you're". There I just home schooled your stupid ass.

  • Excuse me, when beginning a sentence the correct form of grammar is to capitalize the first letter. For example: "Y"our grammar sucks. "T"o spell the words "you" and "are" as a combination is spelt "you're." There, I have just homeschooled your stupid ass.

Before you try to correct someone else's grammar, correct your own, because if you don't it really sounds idiotic.

    (I'm homeschooled.)

  • get a life.

  • lol TOYMATION your grammer is so bad....."spelt"......LOL

  • "grammer"? What does that mean?

  • sorry normy... didn't mean to send that to you. take care.

  • im sorry u feel that way norman... those arent our intensions if u work thats a good reason to send your kids to school. many mothers are saty at home moms like mine. so we have the time to homeschool. it just make me sick to see ppl trying to take away our rights.

  • You obviously never been to an inner city school or in Columbine High School. There's drugs, rape, murder, guns ETC. These teachers have degrees and yet they graduate morons who cant read and write and who are socialist.

  • ooh your right! and we should go to culinary arts school to make dinner. (yay, I'm guess I'm not cooking tonight)

by the way "reason" is probably the word you were trying to spell...

  • your grammar sucks. to spell you are is like this "you're". There I just home schooled your stupid ass.

  • actually soul educator is also incorrect. You probably meant sole educator. Try to control yourself. You have been arguing with my child.

I assume you are an adult.

  • vampires *snicker*

  • and equating someones education to cooking is ridiculous....as are you.

  • coldass The only reason u attack homeschooling is because u feel inferior! If u think hoemschool parents are under qualified look at who gets into college more percentage wise... oh ya HOMESCHOOLERS!!! There I just public schooled your stupid ass!

  • who cares what u think coldass! I'm homeschooled and take offence at your remarks! Just so you know public schooled kids are taught as many or more wacko beliefs as u call them as homeschoolers! You obviously don't know what u r talking about.

  • my mom started homeschooling me in first grade when i was 7, because we're military and we were moving in the middle of the school year. she was shocked to find out i didn't even know what sounds my letters made, but in two months, i was reading on a third grade level. i loved being homeschooled and plan on homeschooling my children, but it's not so much a religious thing as it is just wanting to educate my children myself. i'd rather that be in my hands then in the hands of a stranger.

  • It never ceases to amaze me the ignorance so many people have about homeschooling. I homeschool my son because the public schools in Maryland are appalling. I know teachers who are considering homeschooling their kids rather than submit them to the public school arena.

I'm liberal, and not Christian. I didn't want the schools to tell me that my son needs meds to learn. Only ONE MONTH of homeschooling and saw vast improvement in his love of learning.

  • You know what? Thanks to homeschooling I have a GREAT relationship with my parents, I can work at my own pace if I have trouble learning something, I have no "attitude issues", I can be myself, I have NO fear of what others think of me, I don't cuss or gossip, I have a firm sense of Right and Wrong, I have REAL friends (not merely people who CALL themselves my friends), and I get to go to Six Flags on days when there are practically NO LINES!

    Being a homeschooler ROCKS. Period.

  • Wow. very nice (uninsulting way). Im homeschooled and i have no dissabilities. im not afraid of these so called "bullies" the prospective of homeschooling you have is "its ok to homeschool only if the person is mentally retarded" Thats discrimination against homeschoolers. i have friends who go to school and what i hear its boot camp for education" before you reply to this be sure to get your brain out of your ass. ^.^

  • well LEGENDOFNO1, it certainly does not seem like homeschooling has taught you that everyone has a right to their own opinion and freedom of speech. I gues being stuck in the house all day has made you pretty "self centered"

  • you have a right to your opinion. but your opinion is that everyone should go to a "bootcamp" where they will have the values and opinions YOU approve of drilled into them. see, the rest of us believe in a REAL right to one's own opinion and REAL freedom of speech.

  • I fully understand it. its just it annoys me that people bash it cause of what they were told bout us. were only cooped inside during school hours in public schools the rest of the time im either playing football with my friends or inside so ya. inkey i did give you the freedom of speech and I am just responding to negative, doleful, not too well thought out comments just keep on goin on what the world wants you to know bout homeschoolers and have a nice day :)

  • "A huge part of being in 'regular' school" as you call it should be to get an education. But in your own simpleton way, you've outlined why public schools are unable to accomplish this. They are too focused on REeducation to provide real education. most of the reasons you posted were leftwing pc crap. which is half the reason homeschoolers don't want to go there.

  • AHHYD2..read what DEARHEART42 wrote...and see my reply......

  • Look at the moron below. Dude. I was homeschooled all the way through. I Started 1 busness when I was 16 because I had so much time and since then, Ive started 2 more. Im also a pilot, and I have an awesome band that has just finished their first album at a studio that would cost you your life savings. Im 19 now. What are you doing with your life? Playing halo? Yea. Grow up. Public school sucks. It stunts your mind man.

  • liberals come unglued on the homeschooling issue because they spent so much money and effort lobbing government to control what things are taught and how text books will be sanitized to support the militant homosexual and feminsit agenda BUT now the best and brightest parents have withdrawn their childern from their marxism re-education centers. Keep up the home schooling and save america!

  • we don't need a more stupider umerica.

get rid of yer bible and read real books.

  • Do you even know anything about homeschooling? Because it dosn't sound like it. Do some research. I wrote a very nice paper on it if you want me to send it to you. And in case you were wondering, I was homeschooled. I have plenty of friends, and am doing great in college.

  • You got it all so twisted. There are groups were kids can go hang out with other homeschool kids and im sorry to say this but WE DO BETTER IN COLLEGE! Do your research!

  • So there's plenty of replies supporting homeschooling already, so I don't need to go there. But I just wanted to point out how great school has been for you. Not only do you know how to research before you look like a dumbass posting your opinion for the world to see, but you can't even spell or punctuate properly..."HomeSchooling", "pacience", "socialise", "ideia". Nice.

  • There is a comment here on this very topic that shows exactly whats wrong with the school system today.

Instead of teaching kids the public schools are spending what little time it has with the kids to interfere with the parents effort to raise them. It is up to the parent to pass on moral values that includes religion and then the schools treat it like it's brainwashing and try to teach kids those moral values are wrong.

  • Hey, I am a christian homeschooler. My faith does not have anything to do with the reason I am homeschooled. Also, My parents did not force me to be a christian. At the age of five I dedicated my life to the Lord. It was my own decision.

  • tinkerbelledancer:I'd be curious to know how complete your grasp on science including natural selection and evolution was at the age of five in order to reach your "own" decision in a fair minded way?

  • First of all, Christianity is NOT a religion, it is faith. I admit, when I was five, I really did not understand what it meant to be a Christian. I thought being Christian was going to church and doing all of the right things to get to heaven. When I was twelve years old I realized that being a Christian was more than going to church, It is a personal relationship with God. After that I made the decision to be baptized and show everybody that I have chosen to follow the Lord.

  • The public schools in America are failing...

Homeschooling is better, but people don't want that for some reason...
