I just got the movie in the mail....

....it was GREAT!!!

The graphics quickly fade out of your mind when you are watching the story unfold. The story was just.... grade A. I've never read any Abnett books but I have to say now that I feel incomplete knowing that that man's best works are still out there. I hope to god that they make a sequel, please, please go out and buy this movie :D

Glad to see they've put their stamp of approval on it. I'm really curious to know what they thought of the fan made movie Damnatus (that is if they'd seen it), because that was a very decent movie. There is also another fan made CGI 40K film called 'The Lord Inquisitor' which looks beautiful imo.

I know a lot of people have slated the animation quality but you need to remember - GW offered little to no financial support to this project. The more people that buy and watch this and appreciate the hard work, quality of acting and the quality of the storyline the better. Remember, the better they do this time the greater the chance GW will fund a second movie.

I must say that I was very skeptical/disappointed by the footage shown in the initial trailers. I even said so in the video comments.

Now, I bite my own tongue.

The quality of work shown in the footage here is of far superior quality and much more in keeping with a proper 40k film. Good job all around, can't wait to see it.

I personally am not the biggest fan of Space Marines, but I do believe that the worst part of all of this was the first trailer, and that the movie itself is going to impress. I bought the collector's edition, and I hope it won't be the last 40k movie I'll be able to buy. (But the sequel better be about something else!)
