I saw this very same maneuver a few weeks ago on a structure fire. A firefighter who had to guide a tanker in reverse and didn't want to walk 500 feet got the bright idea of jumping on the platform at the back of the vehicle and guide the operator from there. Being the ISO on scene, I just couldn't believe what I saw. This is a strictly forbidden stunt that can get you suspended. There is never a good reason to play with a firefighter's life like this, emergency or not!
Yep.....Even "on the job" ........All I can say is, job security for me. You fire monkey`s keep doing stupid shit and then call us box dwellers to come save you. Sigh.....I`d rather be lazy than have to scrape kids off the pavement......THINK!!
@usmarines911 they are picking up hose. There is no emergency. They need to take their time to pick up the hose safely and make sure it is packed the right way.
