A buttload of tea party enthusiasts are clouding the issue and have found their niche with the likes of King and other scared politicians. These healthcare hating politicians are the same republicans that are letting energy companies frac for natural gas right next to your neighbors worn out barn while their kids are spitting up blood in an emergency room with little or no insurance.
I am an owner of a very small company. Doesn't anyone realize that if a business owner is forced to provide something for an employee the employee suffers because their wage just went down by that much? If I were the employee Id rather choose to put those extra dollars to my health care or whatever else I wanted. It all comes down to Uncle Sam knowing what to do with our money more than we do!!

GOP threatened to repeal: SSI, Civil Rights Act, and women's right to vote. Republicans are a crazy, religious, extreme, and hateful group. The are so ignorant that they cannot even see that their views are the same views as those they hate the most, the extreme muslims. Both are at opposite sides of the extreme spectrum. Every argument the crazy Republican makes is the same argument the crazy extreme Muslim can make.
Neither are correct. Both of your religions are made up fairy tales.
My employer just cancelled health care coverage. Rate hikes the insurance co.'s are making money on before they cannot do this any more has all that I know left in the cold. We are not giving up. We are uniting and will fight against the insurance industry ploys. What has been gained will not be lost. Now our insurance is the local emergency room. Those against HCR now pay total costs for our visits to the emergency room and county care/services for serious illnesses. Thanks for now.
just shows you how petty and selfish republicans are. all the issues that are wrong in this country today and what's on thier agenda? not fixing the economy or jobs it's t start disassembling recent laws made by democrats.
can someone explaind to me how politicians are supoosed to be working for us again?
Fox News gives any and all republicans free and unchallenged air time to say whatever they want, no matter how ridiculous. We had the healthcare debate for months and this crappy bill is what we have thanks to the Steve Kings of the world and now he wants to drag it out for another 3 years. These ppl don't care about governing just about winning elections. Rome is burning and Fox is holding a lighter.
Today’s decision makes it clear that President Obama and Democrats overreached and violated the Constitution in their rush to pass a federal takeover of our health care system. Judge Hudson’s ruling is a welcome reaffirmation of the Constitution’s limits on the federal government. Obama, Pelosi, Reid, et al: “What is this Constitution of which they speak?”
King is a delusional MORON! Even if the President veto it, RepubliTARDS will NEVER get 60 votes in the Senate to overturn that veto...but keep spewing your BS King...we all know your constituents and the republicans/T-TARD base are stupid enough to believe your LIES!
Look, Obama's move is clear. Concede now, and then double premiums on the middle & lower classes, while the ultrarich enjoy a "temporary" premium holiday until Oct. 2012. (Don't worry, this will be made permanent.)
Very simple move for the President. Capitulation is easy - and fun! Thanks Barack!
@WadeBlazingame34 if only that were some funny joke but you know that's what we can look forward to for 2 years. Everytime the republicans take a "hostage" he'll give them another plane.
I get really tired of the hearing that the government should stay out of health care.
The health insurance companies enjoy a monopoly. They are free to fuck us over as much as they want even if we are on time with our ever skyrocketing premium payments.
There is no free market because they collude with each other and there is no other option... (like a public option) to force them to control their costs. Given that fact, who, if not our elected officials are supposed to stick up for us?
@CynicalSavior "collude with each other". There are actual laws, by the government, that make it illegal to compete in this market. And you then have the balls to blame the companies?
Nobody will stick up for you, ever. Learn that and take responsibility, that's all you can do.
He repeated "Obamacare" five times. It's like he's got the Republican supporters hypnotized or something and every time they hear the word "Obamacare" they get a little more irrational.
Anyone really surprised by the GOPs strategy? Basically they are proposing gridlock for the next two years while passing "purity tests" through the Congress so the tea baggers can go on another witch hunt in 2012.
Nevermind 14M unemployed, the uninsured, the crumbling infrastructure, the coming crisis for SS and Medicare, endless wars, the failing education system or the loss of our manufacturing base. We need tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires and purity tests in Congress. Yeeessh!
and if you do happen to get sick ===> DIE QUICKLY!

@grendelcatt Stupidity coupled with humility is far less dangerous than an intellect coupled with arrogance. Another way of saying that the ivy league technocrats are far more dangerous than a rural entrepreneur.
For that matter, having an intellect and identifying what are your own flaws. That's something very special. Those are the people that really do great things.
@CentristRevolution — I agree. They'll repeal everything except the mandate, because that's good for their base (big business).
But in any case....there it is people. In less than two minutes, we see why the Republicans always seem to get their shit done. If the Democrats used this strategy, they wouldn't have to give in to the Repubs on everything.
But, of course, the Democrats are too wimpy to do anything like this.
@Thesterness Did you hear that a judge named by GWB just ruled the mandate is unconstitutional? Hahaha. That's hilarious. He doesn't realize whose side he's paid to be on. Maybe he actually believes the republican spin that they hate the mandate. "What? I thought I was doing what you wanted me to do."
Honest truth, right after I posted my response to your comment, I clicked to my homepage on Google or Yahoo and right there was that story XD I was sitting there thinking "speak of the devil...."
@Thesterness I'm watching TYT. The judge is part owner of a GOP consulting firm that had worked for the GOP in fighting healthcare reform. The attorney general who brought the case to court has been a customer of the judge's consulting firm. America is now a banana republic.
The millionaire republicans want a tax break. The millionaire republicans want to end any chance of health care reform. What the hell do they have to lose? Nothing. To gain? Lots. Taxes baby taxes. I fear this government will be overthrown by the moose hunting pals of Sarah "the greedy quitter" and thier lot.
I am kinda scared that this nation has reached a breaking point in terms of cognitive fitness. I'm from a working class industrial town, built on toxic waste and union wages. I get to listen to my relatives this xmas. Listening to a person from a steel town bitch about the rich being taxes is just sad. I will hear all sorts of Frank Luntz talking points parroted back at me by people who can barely grasp a puppet show.
That this cocksucker racist is a legit member of the gov't is nuts.
I hope everyone understands this. The very top priorities for Republicans are (1) give 700 billion in tax cuts to the rich and (2) take health care away from those who cannot afford it.
@ultrapirtle they are not going to take away healthcare. they are going to take away the subsidies and still require more to make their offering up to the corporations
This country is going to spend the next 2 years on legislation that has already passed and become law with the goal being to make sure that President Obama does not win re election.
@azas1949 Sadly, because they have lost on nearly every "social" issue they've used since inventing the Southern Strategy, now they must run on "economy" issues, their own lackluster records on fiscal discipline be damned. Eight years of Bush Tax Cuts, and still the richest of the rich and their GOP lapdogs want more. Disgraceful.
