  • Another recipe we are going to try, thanks!

  • Use the whole milk, & referigerate it at the right time once the yogurt is set, the whey will not separate...

  • Love it! You guys are so cute.

Next time get the camera lady to wave and say hello.

You could get her to do the taste test.

I'm trying this tomorrow, you have made it look sooo easy. Thanks so much.

  • Hey thanks for the video! Do you know what affects the taste? The milk or the yogurt starter?

  • No.............Thank YOU!!!............ VG.

  • I call skim milk "white water" LOL

  • What for to boil it and to cool it back??Can i just warm the milk to the neccesary temp?

  • Thank you for sharing and gave us in detail, Thanks to your wife by telling us have to boil the milk to kill any bad bacterias in it. When you wash up the utensils with some warm water, use it to mop your wooden floor or furniture as it will make the wood shine !! I'm not joking, try it and you will believe what I said.

  • Wow you made it look so easy .. am going to give your method a try :)

  • Dose it matter what kind of pot you boil the milk in because i boiled it in a non stick pot and after i put it in the oven for four hours it did not look like yogurt it looked like regular milk.

  • @TheRjsolis Did you add the yogourt and the skim milk also? I don't think it should matter what pot you boil the milk in.

  • @riboflavinjoe yes I followed all the steps I hope I followed them correctly, before I add the yogurt and the dry milk do I need to bring the milk to a full boil .I checked on the yogurt 6 hours later and it seems like it wants to set I can see the whey on top but it looks more like spoiled milk than yogurt it dose not look firm at all. Iam still trying to fix it as I write this reply.

  • If I want to add some flavour from some strawberries or banana when would I add this? Could I do it before it turns into yogert?

  • @1986ant1986 I'd add it after it's yogourt. Just add your fruit when it's done, and mix it in. I usually add homemade jam to it, and then give it a good stir.

  • dude u saved my life , where i am its really hard to find yogurt , im gonna have to clone that freaking 1/2 ltr yogurt to keep the reservoir , cheers hope i dnt burn the house :)

  • @ziaddoleh Good stuff!

  • I like the video. I live in Mexico and I'm planning on learning how to make yogurt. Now, my question is- how do you make plain yogurt?- do you have any ideas?- nice video by the way' pretty well explained!!

  • @makto0b this is plain yogurt

  • @herobubba1960 yeah but I mean like how to start from nothing, because he adds yogurt and so what I mean here is- where can I buy the basics on making yogurt because I really don't understand... I mean they call it bacteria or something like that... have no idea (help please!!)

  • @makto0b google yogurt cultures you should be able to buy the powdered

stuff. but as far as growing the bacteria yourself its probably not worth the risk

of Botulism salmonella or other stuff hope this helps.

  • @Hollyhocks0 Add preserves at the bottom. Fresh fruit will go bad when left at temperatures like that. And since the preserves are at the bottom like some storebought yogurts have, nothing will really happen to it. And since it's already sweet from having preserves in it, you can skip adding sugar to the milk mixture! :)

  • If you want to do away with the powdered milk altogether, just strain your yogurt through kitchen gauze, it will drain away the excess water (whey), stop draining when you get the consistency you like =)

  • I'm not gonna lie, this was damn funny. And that's partly what made it a great tutorial! ^__^

  • Man that was a pretty good tutorial!

  • Glad you liked it. Let me know how the yogourt making goes.

  • Great job Joe! American casalinga in Italy.

  • Thank you!

  • Just a question; Why would we make yogurt out of yogurt? lol.

  • you need to introduce bacteria into the milk in order for it to multiply. Without the bacteria, you won't have yogurt. Same as bread: you need some organism to multiply and consume the product (milk, flour) to get the desired effect.

  • i have an oven that only has gas marks. Apparently 120 deg. celcious is 1/4 gas mark. so what should i do?

    thanks

  • turn it on and then turn it off, and then when the oven is just warm (like body temp), it's the right temp.

  • Hey! I love your videos. Please do some more on home made stuff. Maybe home made cake?

I like your videos because you explain everything so clearly that you hardly leave any space for mistakes to be made. Also you never try to sale anything which is invaluable.

Where are you originally from by the way?

  • Thank you for those wonderful words. I'll try to find time to teach another home made food item. I'm from Canada.

  • You would make a good Kermit The Frog! I mean no offence. Have you ever tried to do him?

  • So how long does this stay good in the fridge?

  • I have left it in the fridge for two or three weeks just fine.

  • Hello, I live in europe can I use crème fraîche instead of plain yoghurt?

  • I don't think that creme fraiche has the same bacterium in it as yogourt. I would suggest staying with yogourt. Try it and see, though. It might be a fun experiment.

  • Thank you.....you went right to the recipe..NOT like some other people that like to play music 1st..

I don't stay around for those..

    BTW...are you a smoker???

  • Glad you like the video.

    don't smoke.

  • FUCK YEAH

  • Thank you for your endorsement

  • Nice video.

  • thanks!

  • CANADIAN?!!!

  • Yes

  • Cool

  • Thanks!

  • How can you make yogurt completely from scratch?

  • I'm not 100% sure. I know some people let their milk go sour and then just kind of scoop out the curds and drain it. I haven't tried that, though.

  • You have lactabacilli in your gut, some good wreching should produce some.

  • thank you for the video, best so far. we're making yogurt tomorrow at school.

  • thanks! how did your yogourt turn out?

  • Great video! i'll certainly try it. . but may i know how long can the yogurt be store?

  • I ate some yogourt today that I made a month ago. It was fine.

  • Thanks for posting! We are totally going to try making it. Only one thing is... I just tried putting my oven to lowest and it is 170F. bummer. and I don't have small oven. Any suggestion?

  • I'd say put it in a warm place. In the sun, or else in a warmish place. Even if you can put it in the oven and turn on the light if you have a light bulb in there. The warmth from the light will keep it warm enough. I hope that helps!

  • I keep seeing videos that require me to use a small amount of already made yogurt! How can we make yogurt completely from scratch?

  • I love this and am going to make some. I only have one question, can I add fruit to the jars to have like blueberry or peach? My son's fav's.

  • Yes, add fruit to the jars, but after the yogurt is set. I like to add my homemade jams and fruit jellies to the yogourt, or honey and nuts.

  • Nicely done! You two are cute and funny together! I do make my own yogurt but use a yogurt maker (I actually filmed my vid today and will post tomorrow). I add sugar and vanilla to mine. Nice to see others enjoying their healthy homemade goodies! Thanks for sharing!

  • Hey good work on the yogurth!

  • woow one of the best how to make yougurth video
