moviemad007 we all know u a ct scan tech and no1 is trying to put u out of bussiness but the public mus be informe about this it is their 1life here not some car they can replace
Scare - mongering! I had a CT Scan (am 38 ) live in the UK. This report is misleading (American thats why) - its - the radiation level is 13 times higher than normal background radiation (or to put it another way 3 weeks worth of background radiation). My father had loads of CT scans in Belgium over a 10 year period - no health probs until the original cancer (melanoma) finally took its toll - but he fought it very hard - lived 9 and a half yrs longer than expected (lost him January 2010)
@Benim1922 I would go with an ultrasound, but talk to the DR., its good to be open, and if you have a smart phone you can show them the video if they don't know
the ucla staff took my money lied to me about ct scan being the only "option" then refused to go further UNLESS i had a ct scan at their predetermined price of $500
or they would drop me as a client!
then they kept sneaking in "costs" and after 2 yeras they allowed an incompetent russian student to do a bone graft. he was so bad they had to bring in a real surgeon midway thru the operation.
then they told me the feeling always come back!" LIE!
i was forced to have a dental ct scan at UCLA. i questioned the safety but the dentists lied and said there "was no need to be afraid." UCLA refused to do anything unless i had a ct scan.
i was right to be concerned. the butchers at UCLA then botched a simple bone graft leaving my face numb.
they then extorted $5000 from me by jacking the costs three times.
after four years of non stop junkets to the filthy UCLA dental school i gave up. today i still don't have front tooth number 9!
Its normal for different patients to receive different radiation doses during the same medical test. When there is more fat and muscle on the patient a more intense Xray beam is required to penetrate the body,

But like Dr Brink said in the video there - go for the scan as planned but as he says choose carefully.

Always ask and insist on MRI, but sometimes CT scans can be more revealing. You shouldn't have more then one or two in your entire lifetime.
