@BackBlocks09 Gender laws about female infantry are less restrictive, because women can now be fighting on the line, but they still can't be in the special forces usually. The reason for this is because people don't like to hear about women dying in battle, only recently, within a few years, did they allow for female officers.
It's more about publicity than anything... Hearing that a woman was shot/raped/blown up during a capmaign is not what people back home want to read about.

@ArmyAllTheWay08 Your helmet would do nothing against a sniper. The helmets are not bullet proof, they wouldn't even stop a 9mm pistol. They're meant for shrapnel. But yes, always keep that thing on. Explosives are the #1 killer over there and they produce nothing but shrapnel.

You would be wrong sir. Everyone deployed, for what ever reason, is issued a side arm. Little or no exceptions. I said before that it may be taught in soldier qualifacation, i know for a fact that everyone gets trained on it b4 being deployed whether familiar with it or not. There is no machine gun course, everyone is familiarised with the C6 and C9 machine guns during soldier qualification / common army phase (Officer)
a buddy of mine in A stan with ppcli didn't get a pistol. they are really only necessary during shura's because rifles look to imposing and may. when on base they just carry around there c7's on a sling. maybe its a regimental thing- i dunno.

And there is a machine gun course where you learn about machine guns in the indirect fire role. Its for infantry trooops only. In WWII, it was rumored that if you kept your helmet strapped, the concussion of an artillery round landing nearby would rip off your head. I don't know if this is true or not, but you might want to keep your pot strapped on these days.

@BackBlocks09 Gender laws about female infantry are less restrictive, because women can now be fighting on the line, but they still can't be in the special forces usually. The reason for this is because people don't like to hear about women dying in battle, only recently, within a few years, did they allow for female officers.
It's more about publicity than anything... Hearing that a woman was shot/raped/blown up during a capmaign is not what people back home want to read about.

@pwnedlikeanoob shows what u know women do go on the front line as medics female searchers interps etc, they dont accept female infantry for one reason infatryMEN, men have a built in thing to protect women that they have bonds to esp when they hear them in need of help (a damsile in destress if you will) and tend to forget about there own saftey, putting the squad in danger, more than one reason but a srg major told me this is the main reason another women usaly cant preform aswell as a fit guy

@ArmyAllTheWay08 Your helmet would do nothing against a sniper. The helmets are not bullet proof, they wouldn't even stop a 9mm pistol. They're meant for shrapnel. But yes, always keep that thing on. Explosives are the #1 killer over there and they produce nothing but shrapnel.

If they pass the relevant selection courses WITH and at the same standard of men, what's the problem?
Because there's a gun ho male soldier who thinks he's macho would be stupid enough to overprotect a female soldier and compromise the units safety? It's guys like him that should be out of the front lines, not motivated women doing their job.
Tbh, I've yet to see a valid argument against women in combat besides flawed theory and traditionalism.

In the video I noticed that there were quite a few soldier who carried side arms,are side arms reserved only for officers? how about senior NCM,could they carry side arms?
or what about any NCM could do they given a side arm if they qualify on it ?

anyone deployed is given a sidearm, side arm training as far as im aware if only given pre deployment for ncm's but not sure.

You would be wrong sir. Everyone deployed, for what ever reason, is issued a side arm. Little or no exceptions. I said before that it may be taught in soldier qualifacation, i know for a fact that everyone gets trained on it b4 being deployed whether familiar with it or not. There is no machine gun course, everyone is familiarised with the C6 and C9 machine guns during soldier qualification / common army phase (Officer)

a buddy of mine in A stan with ppcli didn't get a pistol. they are really only necessary during shura's because rifles look to imposing and may. when on base they just carry around there c7's on a sling. maybe its a regimental thing- i dunno.

I dont appreciate being told im wrong when im acctually in the Canadian Army. Im in 1RCR charles company. And there is a machine gun course where you learn about machine guns in the indirect fire role. Its for infantry trooops only. If your gonna call me wrong buddy you better be in the army and if so not as some clerk fuck.

@blztank side arms are reserved for soldiers who carry usually a platoon support weapon, like the c6, because it is for the platoon for for themselves so they carry a pistol as a person weapon. it depends on the unit thou, some units have different standards.

In WWII, it was rumored that if you kept your helmet strapped, the concussion of an artillery round landing nearby would rip off your head. I don't know if this is true or not, but you might want to keep your pot strapped on these days.
