  • I have a springer that caught a rabbit once. As she isn't trained for that she pulled its head off and wouldn't let go. How do you get you cocker to let go of it? :)

  • Irs good to see these dogs still used as hunting dogs. They make GREAT retreivel dogs! They are not just a good house pet..

  • awesome to see a cocker doing what they are meant to do

  • hi ..glad to here its very consinstent (i have a 30ftlb huntsman ordered) daystate have told me that the POI will move only millimeters ... is this the case with your huntsman ????? thanks again

  • hi love the vid . nice to se a dog working like that.. how do you find the daystate huntsman ?? is it FAC ?.. is your POI moveing much from first shot to last ??? thanks

  • @lesmo9627 Hi, sorry for the late reply. My Huntsman is sub 12ft/lb and shows incredible consinstency throughout the fill. Buster loves his work, it would be fair to say that he almost lives for it. He becomes a totally different dof when we are out with an air rifle. Mike.

  • Great dog! Fantastic to see a happy dog working...

  • oh how cute! what a good boy :)

  • cracking dog, nice to see them a) with a longer tail and b) retrieving so well! I only use my cocker for picking up and have had a few 'they're made for the beating line/she wouldn't be able to carry something big LIKE A RABBIT' comments from ignorant old bastards in the pub- maybe I should refer them to this video!

  • I had a Cocker that was great at pheasant hunting.

  • Dontyou think well....Killing an animal is like killing yourself?? .............

  • @Sarabazzar It's just pest control, rabbits cause a lot of damage to crops etc and breed like crazy.

  • haha sweet my cocker spaniel is a buster as well. funny goofy awesome dog!

  • ive wanted to see buster in action, i read your article in air gunner all the time, what a great dog

ive got a jack russel who does the same.

she chases them down the hole aswell.

  • @sk8rkid321 Thanks for that. I'm pleased that you are enjoying my articles. Buster really is a treat to work with. He may not be the fastest retriever in the world but he is steady and reliable. Mike.

  • i killed a rabbit once whit my airsoft rifle caz i didnt have a bow like my granddad and my dog retrieved it

  • cocker spaniels are awesome

  • could anybody tell me how the bolt is cycled? i mean, does it work the same way as a mauser rifle?

  • is this a good rifle i want one but can't decide between this and the hw100 :-/

  • @QRichTee The Daystate Huntsman is an ideal rifle for long distance stalking, it is light and easy to carry. The HW100 is a superb piece of engineering, solid and dependable. It would be very difficult to decide between either. Mike.

  • @mikeygasbag

lol i know it was difficult so i got a rapid. lol know i have superb reliability and built quality, and it weight about 7 pounds so its in the middle for weight but it litteraly the best gun i've shot.

  • What a good dog!!

My dog would of been all the way to the mason dixon line if she found that rabbit.

How old is you cocker spaniel

  • what excatly is the "mason dixon" line? ive heard it in a song...

  • when the united states was free states vs. slave states missouri wanted to become a slave state. So to make missouri a slave state they had to make a free state. That is when they made maine. Then they made a line separating slave states from free states and this is known as the mason dixon line.

Its basically the border between the North and the South.

  • aah i see...thanks!

  • @TreeTrappin Buster is just over 6 years old. I have been working him for almost 5 years now. He is fantastic out in the field but, better still, he is one of the family back home. Mike.

  • nice place bet is good for pigeons

  • Very good all the best for the season!

  • Nice dog, doing what he supposed to do instead of being led around a show ring by a big fat poof looking all fancy and incapable of doing the job it was bred for.A very well done to you and your dog.

  • What a nice spaniel. Its nice to finally see a cocker doing what it has been bred to do.

  • Thats a good dog!

If i sent my Laborador to fetch a rabbit I had shot she would just bloody eat the dam thing!

What Calibre air rifle were you shooting with and can I ask what Scope?

  • Hi. I was shooting with a .177 calibre and the scope on my hunting rifle is a Bushnell Legend 5-15x40 with a mil-dot ret.

  • Thats an awesome scope you got there mine is only a 2-7 x 32 scope!

  • Just the job for hunting that is,a good allround air rifle scope.
