@Ravalexand no, actually, i was wrong. it's vilya that's used to summon the flood. which is elrond's ring, not gandalfs. anyways. they didn't really have the horses ride up fast enough, but not to worry. elrond wouldn't have let arwen die. :)

@Ravalexand with gandalf and elrond controlling them, i'm pretty sure they would have kept frodo and arwen safe. i mean, i realize that the movie doesn't acknowledge that they're the ones doing it, but they are. it's not like, some spell arwen has or whatever. it's either elrond or gandalf using their ring of power. i think gandalf, since elronds is used later to heal frodo from the stab wound.
