  • ууу хахахха ! вам до формена или джонса как раком добраться из Москвы в Ню Иорк ! дибилы.. сравнили себя с Легендами Бокса.. тьфу..

  • ГДЕ ТУТ Roy Jones???

  • Click the Aaron removal / Carpet cleaner link on Facebook and you can see some of the other work I do.See the boxing competition between me and Darness on my videos.

  • 2:15 looked like a low blow

  • Foreman is a terrible, terrible commentator. I always felt sorry for Lampley having to carry his ass through every call. Jones? Well, he never had the best diction, but at least he was shrewd enough to offer expert analysis. Remember, Foreman doesn't actually KNOW that much about boxing...he's a clumsy, amateurish fighter who happened to have devastating KO power. Never had a great boxing brain, in the ring or on the mic.

  • Foreman never had the fight IQ of Jones Jr, he never really had to outsmart opponents due to his devastating power.

  • @acocfulfilld , Not true. George Foreman had a great fighting I.Q. but it was more established during his twighlight years of his career.

  • what was the ref doing at 1:39. that was a clear knockdown yet he doesnt give a count.

  • @trailstar1 It wasn't a clear knockdown. Watch it again, his feet are the only things on the canvas. Maybe the ref could have given him a standing count but that wasn't technically a knockdown.

  • @57worldwide If the ropes are the only thing keeping you up then its a knockdown

  • @trailstar1 If the ropes are the only thing keeping you up then you are out on your feet. Something similar happened in a Joe Louis fight where he rocked the guy he was fighting and then clinched so the guy didn't fall down. He started to come around and then Louis knocked him out.

It's a knockdown when anything but your feet touch the canvas.

  • @57worldwide Look it up :). I've watched a few fights where that rule has been used for example when James Toney is knocked down by Roy Jones.

  • @trailstar1 You aren't referring to a knockdown. Although a standing 8 count is the same as a knockdown from a judging point of view (meaning it is worth the same score as knocking down your opponent), it isn't a knockdown (because the two are different in the rules of boxing). I looked up the rules, there is a difference. A knockdown is when anything but the boxer's feet touch the canvas.

You saw something in a boxing match but that doesn't mean it's a rule.

  • @trailstar1 I have seen the moment I believe you are referring to. One commentator says, 'Well, his seat never hit the canvas.'

A second commentator replies, 'They're gonna call it a knockdown anyway.'

Another commentator quips, 'I agree Larry, I don't think it was a knockdown. He wobbled back but he did not go down.'

A referee can give the standing 8 count if he believes a fighter is in danger, afterwards deciding wether he is fit to continue.

Now, look up the rules of boxing. Thank you.

  • @57worldwide If you listened to what was said after then Harold Lederman is asked if he thought it was a knockdown and he replies "If the ropes were to stop you from hitting the canvas then thats a knockdown under the rules, thats a knockdown absolutely". Laderman has been a boxing commentator/ judge since 1967 so the other 2 just accept he's right.

  • @57worldwide i googled "boxing ropes stop you from being knocked down". There are plenty of site that explain this rule Eg abcboxing which states that a knockdown occures when: any part other than the soles of his feet touch the canvas if he is hanging helplessly on the ropes if only the ropes prevent him from being knocked down

I wont keep replying because we are going off topic and arguing over the internet is lame.

I dont blame you for not knowing its an obscure rule :)

  • That reminded me of when Emmanuel Steward was in the corner in between rounds when Lewis was fighting Tyson and said "take him out. The man ain't that dangerous". About 30 seconds later goes "get this muthafucker outta here!! The man is dangerous!"

  • I love Jones, but this was his worst moment as an analyst. Subsequent to being dead wrong in the beginning of the round, at the end he completely contradicts himself when he said "there's a lot of time left in this round" and follows that up with "he's only got 22 seconds he should grab and hold on".

  • Always remember, in the term "rope-a-dope", George Foreman is the "dope" they are referring to.

  • berrera drives a porsche carrera gt he was pound 4 pound no doubt bout it he was in tip top shape just like a grape untill pacman dun a rape on him and he wasnt the same he lost fame now hes back like a smackhead tryin get a big jucy payday but he'll remain a duck like haye its safe to say.

  • @TxREX1991 ur a dumbass

  • lol at lee1990lee....derrrr

  • i think forman was right.. he could take the hits better.. just got hit with a real big right.. *shrugs* can be right and wrong at the same times.

    good footages

  • cotto is slow ..

  • wtf foreman isnt right he sez cotto get staggerd wen hit then the other guy goes down

  • well think about whos doing the commentary analysis, does not mean there fighting I think they are doing the commentary preety obvious.

  • Comment removed

  • LOL!! Why didn't Roy Jones just stay quiet after the guy started to get beat on? Funny stuff.

  • Wot the fuk does this have to do with Roy Jones or George Fopreman?>

  • @imdunin they sed wat was gonna happen

  • This just proves that doing something and experiencing something gives you a wisdom and knowledge that you can not get from watching and reading. SHUT THE FUCK UP LARRY MERCHANT!!!! (i know he is not part of this clip but it still had to be said)

  • if zab would visit the wizard of oz and get a heart he might be a contender.

  • @scott053

Funniest knock out i ever seen was Zab getting hammered by Kostya (one of the best pound 4 pound fighters of all time) Love how b4 the fight he claimed boys from da hood don't cry...then he blubbers like a baby when he lost to Kostya.

  • Roy Jones is a very good commentator. He usually is pretty accurate.

  • Jones knows what he is on about.

  • I love this video. That's what I've been saying for years: GEORGE FOREMAN SUCKS AT COMMENTATING. The beginning is so funny :D

  • Always remember, in the term "rope-a-dope" George Foreman is the dope they are referring to.

  • look 2:15

  • Yeah, you mean the low blow. He also back hands him at 2:13

  • amir khans gonna get killed.

on topic, chasepryor was right, slicknick you dont really understand boxing styles do you?

  • cotto is overated.....i hope he doesnt think to step back in the ring with margerito he will get waxed like he did in the first fight haha

  • yh cotto not that good i think zabs better

  • idiot, the guy who made this video just doesnt understand boxing, when Roy said "this isnt his fight, this is McKinney's fight, he was simply talking about the way they were fighting was more favorable to McKinney's style, which it was, it doesnt mean he can't get hit with a good shot and go down.

  • wtf that isnt george forman

  • the first voice in this video is definitely George Foreman who was working as a commentator for HBO back then.

  • ahahahaahaha, funny video

  • love this video.

also i don't think torres could of beat cotto.

cotto was boxing very well in that fight and had it under control. recovers easy against him.

also i feel Margarito isn't thats good hes just a huge fighter, see him in a bigger weight division and hes dead... cotto was just too small

  • Torres almost gave Cotto his 1st loss

  • no zab judah did

  • ?? One of the few times Zab showed heart, and Cotto was dirty with the low blows but it was NOT close. Shane was alot closer than Zab was. Corley hurt Cotto, then Torres dropped him, but that's cause Cotto did not belong at 140.

  • yeah but didnt zab fight cotto at 147? and he shook cotto up then cotto got dirty

  • yes they fought at 147, and like I said was one of the few times Zab showed heart and didn't lose it mentally and implode, like vs Mayweather, who he also started well agaonst but lost it. He did well against Cotto, but as far as Cotto almost losing the fight, Corley and Torres were closer. That's the only 'recent' Zab fight I give him credit for...teh guy has ridiculous skills and speed, but nothing upstairs mentally and a horrible corner--very similar to fellow Brownsville product Mike Tyson

  • Bareera was exciting and how!

  • Barrera was exciting

  • would pacquaio beat that barrera?

  • azara4life asks "would pacquaio beat that barrera?" he did beat Bareera! Mind u after Bareera beat the Prince. I think once Bareera did that he wasn't as hungry and accomplished everything he wanted to. Manny P is one tough little guy and a humble man as well.

  • Its Barrera not Bareera.

  • pacquiao beat barrera and I think it was on 2003. TkO 11. Poor Barrera when he went against someone with speed and power at the same time. Pacquiao shook the boxing world after that and that started it all with other mexican legends like morales. That made pacquiao more recognized as the peoples champion. There was a second fight with Barrera but ended in a unanimous decision for pacquiao. Pacquiao beat the hell out of legends, and he will keep coming. 4 world titles in his waist. Impressive.

  • barrera was still on top of his game

    when pacman beat him

  • Whoever made this video had the common sense to post one of the best fights I have ever seen..Both Mckinney went on to win titles..Bareera beat the Prince and Mckinney beat Junior Jones both for belts. A great fight well worth watching. I liked both Jones and George as commentators. In boxing the whole thing can turn quickly so no one can predict with any degree of accuracy. Anyway pick up that Bareera/Mckinney fight..did it win fight of the year?

  • very bad referee. he couldve been badly hurt

  • The best boxing matches have outcomes that very few experts can predict, that's what makes the sport exciting.

  • wow good ref

  • if you have the barrera mckinney fight please post it. that fights a classic.

  • Charlie stevens has a wider range of knowlidge

than george and i think a young fit charles would almost certainely beat a fit george foreman, big charlie bomper would have definately ruled the division if he did'nt retire early due to hand trouble because charlie could knock them the fuck out

  • as a matter of fact I'm going to re watch that Bareera Mckinney fight right now.A Great fight!

  • George foreman was a great analyst. He was a real pro. He knew every little trick and shared it with the viewers. RJJ was good also. But that Bareera/Mckinney fight is a classic. Mckinney went on to win a championship and Barrera beat Naseem. A lot of Champions in this clip.

  • Boxing experts never really analyze with the exception of Teddy Atlas once in a while. They don't tell us things we can't see for ourselves.

This has never been a good situation.

  • Teddy Atlas is so full of himself. As far as I'm concerned to analyze a fight you had better have been in a few. Both these guys won the Gold Medals(RJJ was robbed of his but it is acknowedged that the official concerned was bribed)and both world champions..I think that deems them experts.

  • Hey shithead, Teddy Atlas was an amateur boxer under Cus D'Amato but was forced to retire after a back injury. Having worked with Cus and trained his fighters and being around boxing on a higher level than most people ever will be I think he has the right to analyze fights.

  • I think there is a good reason for that. A trainer is supposed to be looking for every little thing in a fighter and their opponent that will help their fighter win. A boxer is listening to his trainer more often , watching some tape of his opponent, and training to beat his opponent. I think if anything the trainer, especially someone on Teddy's level, studies both fighters more than a boxer would. Does that make sense?

  • 1:13, Awkward.

  • LMAO! Worst announcer ever is Foreman.

Jones was always a great announcer.

  • lennox lewis is worse.

  • McKinney actually came back to knock down Barrera after that beating although he lost the fight.

I think the problem with Foreman is that he was the kind of a boxer who could take punishment, get up from the canvas, come back and knock anyone out with one punch to win.

Not everyone can do that. He never wants to count anyone out in a fight even if they are losing badly.

  • Vernon Phillips and Kennedy were both great prospects but they both loved Drugs more than boxing.

  • my dad beat verno philips

  • Nobody could analyze fighters like Mike Tysons first trainer Cus D'Amato. Some champions were born and some were made, but the fighters he trained both managed to be the youngest heavyweight champions, Floyd Patterson and Mike Tyson.

  • i prefer to hear the expert opinions of fighters or people who have been directly involved with boxing in real way. Even if , god bless him, Foreman isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, his opinion is real and authentic...Larry Merchant is a bona fide "armchair pugilist" who's biases are so obvious, who condescends to fighters when he interviews them , and worst of all, his whiny, sermonizing, droning style of announcing...get rid of the old phony, once and for all

  • I agree Foreman knew exactly what he was talking about & thats why there is always a person involved in the ring announcing

  • Unfair. Look at what Foreman has accomplished with his life after boxing and compare that to just about any other ex-champion. He sounds rough compared to professional schmoozers like Lampley, but so would anyone else.

  • Bad ref. This is how fighters get killed in the ring. The ref should've stopped it. The guy in the red trunks actually goes down and pops back up and the ref lets that knock down slip by.

  • but if he had stopped it, people would of said it was ruined. good refereeing

  • good vid, good fight for barrera too bad the pacman will KO him again.

  • this is my favorite video of boxing its so funny

  • Foreman was a hell of a guy, but was the undisputed, absolute worst announcer ever. He was NOTORIOUS for crap like this, it happened in EVERY fight w him. EVERY fight some loser would b gettin the beatdown of his life, & foreman would swear they were winning by a landslide, then the ref would stop the fight 2 save thier ass just as he finished talking. & whoever happened to be losing the current fight he was calling, was always the best of all time according to him. Hell of a grill pusher tho.

  • love this video hilarious and larry is okay, what i like about him is he doesn't fall for the hype like the other announcers do. example: trinidad & hopkins. every one thought trinidad would kill, but larry knew about b-hops greatness and how trinidad couldn't compare hahaha

  • larry is the shit compare 2 letter man so i say they should get rid of letterman 1st and give merchant his position

  • larry is the best i love him

  • George told Larry Merchant, "you don't know boxing, you see boxing" and that was the last time I saw him on HBO. I figure that bitch Larry got him fired.

  • maybe but also maybe it got 2 the rest of the cast that think trhat was insulting

  • fuck you muther fuck

  • george foreman was the best announcer bring back george he was the best

  • I fully agree. George was the best. Merchant and Lampley act like two bitches. They always try to mold a fighters legacy with their mouths and bullshit opinions.

    COME BACK GEORGE!

  • i saw this fight very exciting..

  • lmfao!!!!! so funny roy was like 'it wasnt barrerra fight" then boom BOOM boom

  • ^^^ lmao but anyways... good video, you should have made the commetary screw ups and wicked calls a lot longer. It was entertaining.

  • wtf is this faggot talking about?

  • omg thats sick

  • hey slicknick. aren't you that guy from esb. i hear you nkow howt o treat a man... you ever want my number, just ask1!

  • GAY

  • Bring back Roy.
