Cool version of a great song, not played enough w/the Band in concerts. However, I do like it better w/the Band & most especially missed hearing the Big Man's fab sax at the end. I guess we'll all have to miss The Big Man's Fab Sax from now on...Thankfully, we have all these videos & great music on venues like this, to recapture, what is now lost to us, for real.
Thanks for this upload.
Rest easy Clarence. We are the weary ones left behind here, now.
my only gripe about this version is that its hard to duplicate the energy and the feeling of the studio version.
And Clarence's sax solo on the outro of the studio version is just perfect, and you can feel the emotion that he's going through. and again thats very hard to duplicate.
He said so beacuse we who had seats on the floor where at this point standing on our chairs to be able to see anything since the people in the front rushed the stage 2 songs earlier (after matamoras banks). This was a great, great and i am glad i was there!
well ... yes, the tour is great, but its just that.... i m not the biggest fan of his Born In The USA Album ... in the Album Version i just really like "Downbound Train, Bobby Jean, My Hometown and I'm On Fire"... Born In The USA, Darlington County, Working On The Highway, No Surrender are acoustic much better I think ... Downbound Train is even better than the studio verison ... i m on fire and himetown are very soft ... and Bobby Jean is almost perfect on the album und perfect in berlin 88 ;-)

I'm a huge Bruce fan but the D&D stuff was a waste of his time
