Portland....Jared please read my message I sent to you privately....avoid the churches there....they will try to "de-gay" you. And avoid Little People family members (big and little family members) as they are bigots that love the aforemention churches.
I think Portland might be okay, but stay away from the smaller towns. Bigoted hickville.
my life is okay... I guess... Looking for a job which pays for a flat but still leaves enough time for school, so can finally move out of my parents house...
I live outside of portland, but it's definitely a really fun place. You should also move there so I can meet you and we can fall madly in love and get married!!!! ....too much?
Haha I'm trying to push myself through these last few weeks of school as well, and I'm pretty excited cuz last semester I just barely missed out on a 4.0 and this semester I'm close to getting it so Woo! Good luck and Keep up the videos! Even if they're only quick updates its neat to hear what you have to say :]
I live in Salem (30 - 40 minutes away from Portland) and have for like 9 years now. Honestly, Portland is a really cool town. It's very liberal and gay friendly (Mayor is gay) and it's pretty relaxed in general. Very good art/writing scene as well. In general it's a cool town. Very much a cliche, but it's kind of nice that way.
Portland is fantastic. One of my favorite cities. I'm from Eastern Oregon and I go to school in Eugene. Portland is awesome though, tons of stuff to do and, aside from the rain, a really cool atmosphere.
I don't really know much about Portland State, I have a couple friends that have gone there and I haven't heard any complaints about it from them.
point5past is moving back to Portland, if you want to check him out.
I lived in Vancouver for a long, long time, and went south to Portland several times. It always seemed a very 'livable' city - big but not a metropolis.
Im just ok. your health is everything, I have new found respect for anyone with lotsa health problems. im struggling with 2 diseases (sigh), one i plan on getting rid of with an operation.
Sick with a Chest infection at the moment though finishing up the antibiotics today so all will be well with the world. Currently in the middle of my masters... definitely consider postgraduate study its worthwhile pursuit and hopefully open your eyes to the opportunities out their like it did I.
i live in portland! I love it here. I just moved here 6 years ago and it was the best decision of my life. I am going to Portland State next year so I have yet to experience the school. I heard so many good things about the school though. Hope I see you there!
I'm ok, just got over an ear infection so I'm glad that's over with. Only I missed a lot of school work and now I'm just praying I pass everything! 2 more frackin weeks!
Hey, I want you to know that I came out to my parents yesterday, and one of my big motivators was your set of videos about homosexuality. It went really, really well and I'm so glad I did it. So thanks. :)
I like big butts and I can not lie You other brothers can't deny That when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist And a round thing in your face You get sprung, wanna pull out your tough 'Cause you notice that butt was stuffed Deep in the jeans she's wearing I'm hooked and I can't stop staring Oh baby, I wanna get with you And take your picture My homeboys tried to warn me But that butt you got makes me so horny :D
I'm pretty good. Today was my birthday. The big 22. My friends and I learned how to escape from various hand cuffs and leg cuffs. We also learned how to properly throw lit matches at each other in a game we call "fire tag." It's like freeze tag but you do the opposite of freeze...otherwise you get set on fire. Then I got to light and "play with" one of those street flares that cops use sometimes. Then I got my hair cut.
Today I had three classes at uni, two of which I greatly enjoyed. I'm already excited for tomorrow because I get to see a friend that I genuinely like, which is quite a rare existence for me :P
I'll be on a one-week trip to CA from this Thursday, and I've gotta finish packing my suitcase! It'll be my first time in the US. Been feeling a bit nervous, but just the idea of being in the same country as you made me feel much better :3
I don't know anything about Portland, but you should look at the website for the University of Baltimore's M.F.A. in Creative Writing and Publishing Arts. ubalt dot edu. That's where I am, and it's a pretty cool program if you are interested in publishing as well as writing. :-)
I'm good. I'm starting community college in June and that'll be for two years, then I'm going to transfer, possibly to a school on the coast because even though I'm not sure about it, I'm thinking about studying to become a Marine Biologist... this week at least but I have no idea. I figure I'll specialize in the study of marine mammals... I really have no idea. *self doubt on every angle involving future exploits* Do you like those little sticky hands you can slap against the wall? lol I <3 em.
Thanks Jared. Your little videos are really quite cheerful, in an innocent kind of way. As a tragically lonely, single gay man I need all the cheering I can get! On the up side - it's Easter! Go for grad school!!! Write something wonderful!
I stayed with a friend for 2 months in Portland, on a NAS art program, It was beautiful (: you should go there for a couple of weeks, just to see if you like it. I know I did, but to each their own. keep up with the awesome posting <3

4.0 en francais! Bon courage. (translate that - it always seemed that the French folks who said 'bon courage' to me were being a bit wry.)

Oregon in general rocks. Country Fair is the greatest thing in the world but you'd have to stay for the summer.
