I was watching this because I wanted to paint my piano white and then do then paint over it like the piano Coldplay uses in their recent concerts ,great job!
i normally play the piano with industrial ear-protectors (I recommend same for my audience). This is the first time I have seen the player wearing nose + mouth protection. One can only recomend a diet less dependent on beans and cabbage.
@FlametopFred Good one... It was more a desire not to inhale the many layers of polish that had been applied to the piano over the past 30 years. I wore even more hardcore gear when coating my SF Heart with polyurethane late last year. :)
Indeed - It's the future of music and art - - merging industrial with pastels. I sanded down our old family piano that mom had painted Valiant green back in 1969. When I was 14 I was in my Lennon/White period so I sanded the thing down and painted flat white with black trim. Later a girlfriend took a belt sander to the poor old piano and sanded off the top mahogany laminate. That was the end of that relationship right there.
May I know your first coat using a normal white paint?, your last finish do you apply lacquer or anything to protect the paint?
