  • I love how he's kinda taking the piss out of everything in melbourne, including metlink kinda.

  • @gedwolfe except its an ad for metlink? i agree though, the original northcote is so applicable to melbournians.

  • "Almost like a fixed gear train" haha Do aussies really say "man" after everything

  • @jeckeljoan pretty much man

  • LOve it!!!

  • I like the way he talks.

  • Lol.. the blonde girl at 1:35 looks like she wants to stab him.

  • go to pony....pretend I'm in Kings of Leoooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • I ride on the hurstbridge line to uni (Macloud Station I drop off), and it has the occasional groups of hipsters, but I rather have another hipsters than riding on the other line I get on to the hurstbridge...

  • Promotion much. BUT funny! so cool. Sadly Its for Mettard. If it was in an alternative universe, and it was for VR or The Met. (depending on where you set your flux capacitor on), i would've been much happier, since it is in public hands.

Slagging off hipsters and how they think they are so beyond cool and ironic...........awesome

  • the "hotties" at boost? ... do them glasses work?

  • Love the bedroom philosopher so so so much

  • A parody of a parody. That's like so last week...

Wow I can't beleive I've never seen this. The original always cracks me up when I hear it on the radio.

    Puts on gunzelling hat...

The train sounds at the begging and end sound like a Comeng while he is clearly shown riding on an Xtrapolis.

  • yayyyyy hurstbridge line!!!i live in eltham...

  • I Don't Live In Australia (Unfortunately) but is this Really an Advertisement? WOW.

  • The journey planner app is useful. For serious. And starving for your art is so 1800s. Cut a hipster some slack. Fat doesn't give away skinny jeans for free.

  • "I think Geeky's in at the moment, ohh no wait it's out I just checked my vice magazine app" Gold! "Can't stop touching my iPhone"

that's what its like.. I love observational comedy.

  • Man, he sucks now, his old stuff was awesome. Sellout corporate whore.

  • hurstbridge rep

  • Hah, I actually found this pretty damn hilarious, moreso because I really appreciate the original. lol.

  • dull, uninteresting, boring and humorless

  • Woooh I'm on the hurstbridge line :D!!

  • Fixed Gear Train!

  • someone please explaint o me what all this is about

  • Yah, so like, this video is like, sooo not funny.

    Laterz.

  • FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFlick through indie....

  • sellout hipsters !!!

  • Holy shit this is amazing. lmao at the Vice app

  • I can't stand this ad, the copy is clunky and nowhere near as clever as Bedroom Philosopher's song. The introduction of the metlink app feels like someone scraping their nails on a blackboard.

Maybe metlink should've spent less money on this horrible ad, and focused on consolidating with the Tram Tracker app for iPhone.

  • What.

  • Woot! Hursty line!

  • these guys rock!

  • Tram tracker is the best iphone app

  • LOL Fixed Gear Train. Excellent.

As a train driver, the sad part is that those trains are sort of fixed gears. They don't have a transmission, being electric motors. They just change the voltage across the motor to change output.

  • hipsters =[.

  • It isn't a good sign that nanandpop records - the guys with rights to the Bedroom Philosopher's stuff - have had their comments removed as 'spam'.

  • Brisbane has no smart travelling. Just a website and paper time table.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrLank1 Damn straight. Brisbane and Gold Coast's public transport is a joke compared to Melbourne.

  • @cowgX0r even Transperth's data works with Google Transit and our smartcard system works too.

  • FIXED GEAR TRAIN LOL

  • @cilstr Hurstbridge was the cloest rhyme to '86' for the purposes of parody. He'd get off at Westgarth.
