  • Great job so far. tbh, this is hilarious! I can't help but laugh at the unpolished animation (sliding, rolling in place, stone faced expressions).

    Elephants dream was a technical masterpiece and Big Buck Bunny pushed it even further (the fur rendering was a major step forward),

    but what I look forward to in this film is how blood will be simulated, and that ain't an easy task.... oooooh yeeaaaaah...

  • I have to admit it, blender is a very powerful and underrated beast. Although I tend to use Maya, as it has a refinement unmatched by almost all CGI packages, I do love blender, and the fact that its on a general public license, still amazes me, and whenever I do use it I always get a feeling that it was made with a lot of TLC.

    Anyway, this looks to be one of the best project to come from Blender yet, and I can't wait to see the final product, first impressions are Amazing!!!

  • I don't think it needs more speed, its good realistic this way. Just two things: I would make the first guy walking more assured and faster, like he dont want to waste his time. And in the first cut right after the fight I wouldn't make the Sintel going relaxing. In this moment she still being mental in the fight and full of adrenalin. Than she breaks down.

  • Thank you for uploading! i just have to find out how to do this type of animation.

    From seeing this, i see that i should start with animating the movement, work the camera, then when all is done and ready, animate the armatures!

    Ive also seen the animation on vimeo where it was broken down step by step!

  • Funzioni che rende tutto più realistico ...se è possibile imparentare bone a oggetti e non solo il contrario con un'ik tanto sviluppato da poter bloccare le ossa dei piedi o altri creare un'omo che gira una grossa ruota con manico diventa uno scherzo ,ma oggi non ci riderei ! grazie dell' attezione ...uso anche io blender

  • scivolano sul ghiaccio ... lodi co che si dovrebbero bloccare all' occorrenza delle ossa dei piedi e farlo agire con ik,mentre sposti con tutta tranquillità il bacino e l'altra gamba o sembrerà sempre spinta ,inoltre favorisce il posizionamento delle mani potendo bloccare la mano e poi aggiustare al meglio i gomiti ... sono funzioni che io agogno !

  • inoltre si potrebbe ancorarre le ossa delle mani alla lancia ,usare un ik e muovere solo le sbarre mentre le braccia si adattano al meglio ... molto comodo e velocizzante il lavoro cosi

  • Finally a project that will take blender to its limits. Currently im not a user, but depending on the success of this 2.5 project, I just might be.

  • I know this isn't a full, final edition when it comes to mechanics, but one improvement would be to somewhat speed up the fight scene. The movements seem to be a little slow, but I'm sure you all will be fine tuning it later when the time comes. Just a suggestion. Keep up the excellent work!

  • It looks great, aside from the creepiness of the feet/legs not moving. I loved the fighting scene. I can already see it with full detail rendering in my head.

  • Around 7:00-8:00 min. if I am not mistaken.

  • The camera work is already is inspired. I love the helecopter shot at the beginning, but the "handheld" look for the fight shots made me smile.

  • Not sure about the snow throwing in the face bit, seems like a bit of a dirty tactic for Sintel to use, her evil opponents are more likely to do that.

    But apart from that its great! Cant wait to see more :)

  • Firstly, there are no rules in war/fight, you have to do anything that helps...

    Secondly, that was not snow, that was a monkey head.

    Thirdly, being a killer like Sintel already is dirty, and wrong...

  • There are definetly rules in war if you have any ethics and morals. I would consider the character of Sintel to have very strong ethics, especially when it comes to fighting, even if she is killing. Thats why that part seemed out of character for me.
