  • I am gutted for you Pete, I cant believe one of my favourite utube channels is now being forced to cut down the number of uploads by o2. I genuinely felt upset when you were speaking, like when you have watched the final show in a series you have been enjoying.

I hope you can find a way around it and resume normal service in the future.

  • @craigsheree Thanks Craig it really sucks, i can only hope that o2 get their equipment in the local exchange soon and then i can resume my service, such a pain in the ass but also gives me a break which i think i really need lol ive been going full belt with youtube and it kinda burnt me out a bit but ill be back with a new vid either the weekend or the beginning of next week for definate :)

  • what a bunch of mincers O2 are! trying to make you feel guilty for potentially slowing down your neighbours. ha ha ha. get on virgin. i know plenty of people who do in 60 gig a week no probs. or are they next in line for a phone call? this great country of ours is starting to wind me up

  • @belter321123 lol agreed dude, i think its because of the three styrikes rule that the govenment just put through although o2 didn't say im downloading illegally and should stop they just said my overall downloads are too much and im sorry but when using a pc,ps3 and a wii 60gb is nothing really lol

  • Sorry to hear about your ISP Pete. I have been tempted to switch to o2 from sky. I won't bother now. I hope o2 get thier tech in your local exchange soon.

  • @Leigho79 Yeah id stay with sky leigh your probably better off, me too i want them to hurry up and get their equipment in the exchange i hate being limited lol

  • 02 is notorious for limiting usage, even if it says "unlimited". Orange do the same thing too. I houseshare with 2 other guys, and we're on Virgin media. We use the internet quite a lot and we've never had any limit problems. Its the fiber optic version too so its quick. If i was u I would dump 02 and go with Virgin or BT

  • @townsjim Id love to go on virgin dude but we don't have fibre optics here :( i had virgin when i lived in birmingham and never had any problems they were brilliant :) As for BT there too expensive compared too everyone else and they throttle your speed :(

  • Sorry to hear abt your ISP man.. That sux.. You are paying and yet get penalized for what you are entitled for? Hmm.. doesn't sound quite right. Driver for PS2! LOL My bro had real high hopes for that one.. and it was pure rubbish! Crappy clone of GTA :D

  • @PhatPhunk Yeah its bloody stupid really but unfrotunatley we have no choice here dude its either accept it or have no internet :( lol yeah driver was a real mess i dunno how they managed to mess it up so much lol

  • Really sucks to hear of your ISP problems mate, as you say it doesn't make sense and the internet caps are totally unrealistic in this day and age. It's like owning a Ferrari with some kind of 30mph restriction on it and only being allowed to take it out for 15 minutes per month. :/

Will miss the Sat night specials but looking on the bright side mate it's perhaps more time for you to do other things and relax/ play some of those games. :)

  • @Drexus80 Exactly Daz it makes no bloody sense, what they should be doing is putting more effort into updating the systems and giving us fibre optics if the phone lines are of no use, i heard BT are trying tiny fibre optics on top of the phone lines, dunno how it works but at least its a start but i doubt they will rush as their crap lol

  • That's really crap Pete, really annoyed for you as I love seeing vids from you frequently, and I totally agree with you that 60 gb is not an awful lot in a month, doesn't really make much sense, ah bloodyhell mate, that is so shit!

  • @dancentral Tell me about it Dan its a joke really, i think with all the tech we are encouraged to buy and all the services we are encouraged to use nowadays 60gb is nothing really, to me excessive would be 1tb a month lol

  • ...Also another plus is the fact that the internet comes through the cable and you actually get the speed you pay for rather than what you get through the telephone line, ie pay for 10MB and get 2MB. With Virgin you get waht you pay for :)

  • @cod2fan Unfortunatley we don't have cable down here mate, i used to have 10mb virgin in brimingah, and i always found them to be brilliant except when you have a tech problem as they have no clue what their talking about and even more so when i got the HD TV box when it 1st came out that was murder lol

  • Look into getting Virgin mate. I've had them for years now and i've never had any complaints from them. Pretty sure they use the unlimited policy as well but from what i hear its more around 75 gig, don't quote me on that though. I used to download a hell of a lot and never had any complaints what-so-ever. I would definitely recommend them mate....

  • Shame about the vids matey - I'd have told them that if they couldn't provide me with the service I was paying for then you'd be going elsewhere... call their bluff matey - there's plenty of other companies out there that'd welcome your business...

Maybe look into Virgin Media - thats what we're on for Internet, Phone and TV... haven't been able to fault them really in over 2 years...

  • @XFile2708 Thats the problem though Marcus im stuck as we don't have virgin here other than on the phone lines and so because none of the companys have their equipment in the local exchange i have to have these restrictions so i can't even change to a better ISP its bullshit really lol

  • @Snestastic Gutted for you matey - I know how much you love watching and putting together the YT vids... fingers crossed its only a short-term thing and you can get something sorted :)

  • What your best off doin is trying bethere . co . uk thats unlimted,i was on this before i moved house an got virgin. but i dl'd possibley 100GB over a month an i was on there unlimted package, have a look, because its disapointing that your gona have to cut them down dude

  • @BoothyRules Thanks dude ill take a look, neverheard of them before :)

  • Thats a bitch about your ISP mate. I know its because of technical limitations but I've always thought download limits were unrealistic and counter productive, there's too much nowadays that involves some sort of download like you say. We're encouraged to use the service but penalised when we do.

Had my broad band service for a while now, the download limit is minute and I get penalised to the max when I exceed it. Must take a few days to go over!

  • @LeBossu77 Exactly owen and thats why this country will never move forward with the broadband revolution we're a joke really, whats the point of encouraging us to use iplayer,itvplayer,4od,skyplayer and to download movies from the ps tore or xbox live or even play games online when we just get told to stop or we'll be cut off. i think its a disgrace as we are paying for the service, you wouldn't accept it from say british gas lol

  • @Snestastic There'd be uproar, British Gas wielding the iron glove! That may be not too far away though if the Russians insist on playing silly buggers with the pipeline.

I hear that South Korea are the most internet savvy nation on the planet with the most usage and the highest speeds. I couldn't see this happening there.

  • I'm with BT and the way they work with upload limit (on the so called unlimited package) is to charge you a £1 for every GB past 40GB. Very annoying as it's not much to play around with and they are talking of releasing 20MB speeds, pointless.

  • @Lorfarius Yeah the whole UK broadband service needs overhauling its a bloody joke, african countrys have better services than us, we're way too far behind and its about time the govenment took a proper look at changing everyone to fibre optics or id love sky to do broadband over the satalite dish if its possibvle as out in the country we can't get fibre optics :(

  • yeah tell me about it man im with bt so hopefully they dont ring me about this crap either because what were dooing is leggal downloading its rubbish.

  • @nemesis3561 lol its all down to the bill the govenment sneaked through the other week mate i reckon, total pain in the arse and as usual we're made to feel like criminals.

  • Pete, I am on o2 aswell. I didn't know about the limits. Why don't you change your o2 broadband package or provider??

Yeah whatever you do don't leave Youtube mate. We need you mate!

  • @TheGebs24 Well ive checked and everyone except for talk talk and sky have limits on their unlimited packages but i can't get either one of those as they don't have their equipment in the exchange down here :( o2 said they will be putting their equipment in the exchange some time this year and then i won't have any limitations but god knows when that will happen *sigh*

  • Hey Pete.I have that mug. LOL Did you get it in an Easter egg??

  • @TheGebs24 lol yeah my mom gave it me from her egg :)

  • No arguments from me about your choice of Driv3r.....it was crap.

  • @anderai lol yeah it was hyped quite a lot as well, i dunno how they managed to bugger it up if anything my tag has shown that sequels aren't always a good idea lol

  • Ah, the curse of the UK ISP Pete! I used to be with AOL and they were dependable until they were bought over by the Carphone Warehouse and turned to shit. I'm now with BT and the speed is faster but they definitely throttle bandwith a bit in the evening. I did start on the 10gig download package but got an email before the end of the first month saying that i was near the limit already! So I bought their unlimited package which wasn't cheap but I've had no problems for the last few months.

  • @anderai I was thinking today about trying BT but they are the most expensive for unlimited although it depends if they count youtube and bbciplayer etc in the downloads? I know that because i was uploading so many youtube vids on a regular basis thats probably whats caused the problem but its still bloody annoying when you pay for an unlimited service and they threaten you like a criminal, bastards :)

  • btw can yal get AT&T direct DSL? btw i started the tag it was post to WORST games you played lol but oh well...

  • @adam18man Yeah dude cyberlanky amended the tag when he did it so i did what he tagged me with :)

  • sound like satellite internet (Direct WAY) here i use to have that shit i could only watch 2 vids & look up little stuff $60 a month when i heard AT&T DSL i quickly got that it nevers slows down when im DL alot or play online etc its only $47 for the FASTEST speed EVER lol

  • @adam18man Don't think we have AT&T here dude but its a pain in the arse all these restrictions :(

  • Nice vid dude! =)

Driver on the PS One was awesome indeed!

  • @dbz1229 Thanks Dude, sure was once you get out of the car park, that drove me crazy lol

  • change your isp pete, for good of your subscribers haha

  • @BoothyRules lol if there was a better alternative i would dude but they all have a fair usage policy and sky are the only ones who offer a true unlimited download package but they don't have the equipment in my area :(

  • Unlimited not being unlimited = False Advertising. You could probably site them for failing to provide advertised services.

  • @youtubasoarus Agreed dude but in the small print it does state they have a fair usage policy, this issue was covered last year by The Gadget Show over here in the UK nad basically the ISP'S gave the customers the two fingers :)

  • Dang, how do they expect you to update your programs and games that you bought and payed for plus use online services like PlayStation Network. You pay for the service, they shouldn't dictate on what you can and can't use it. Don't close your channel mate, just hang in their cause I really like your videos. :)

  • @bufferkid Thanks dude i really appreciate you saying that, yeah its a crazy situation but here in the UK we're so far behind the rest of the world, even africa has better broadband than us now lol

  • But on another tip Snes, dont close down your account,Try to figure out some other options other then the ones you being forced with.

  • @JayyBlackheart Thanks dude id change my ISP but their all the same and id be ok for a while but then they'd threaten to shut me down *sigh* ill just have to cut down the amount of vids i post and hope everyones ok with it dude :)

  • Man fuck that internet company you with on the real, they on some straight up whick whack ass shit.if they providing you with the speeds and all,but gotta say something towards the amount of what you're getting, then whats the point of offering it?thats just like over here in the USA,and i got charter, which they offer me 25meg download, but they'd complain to me and say i got a 100gb cap?thats crazy as hell...Companys just losing they damn minds i tell you.

  • @JayyBlackheart greed dude i think instead of having an unlimited package they should just change it to whatever limit they wish to put on it, apprently according to my ISP'S forums they class an average user in my area as someone who downloads 10gb a month and i downloaded 61gb last month so i see why they are pissed with me but 10gb would be not doing anything other than getting windows updates lol

  • Could you not change to a 80GIG download plan with a better provider? Or is there a huge price difference?

This will be an interesting tag to answer. I can think of a few instantly, but I'll have to ponder the others.

  • @Charassic Ive had a look at all the different ISPS available but the highest ive seen is a 60gb limit and i hit 61 last month lol im gonna have to have a good look and make a decision, we're being held to ransom over the internet in the UK cause the govenment won't invest in it :( Nice one Charly I thought you would have a few to choose from, looking forward to your response :)

  • That's some bullshit with you ISP. If they are limiting your UNLIMITED account, you shouldn't put up with it if you can help it. IF you can switch providers, I would look into it, as that's complete crap.

Would suck to see you off of youtube, definitely don't leave !

  • @BackForwardPunch lol thanks Steve straight to the point :) ive searched all the ISPS but they all have a fair usage so im kinda stuck but will keep checking and see if i can find a better option :)

  • lol how bad is that isp if your clogging the entire town up ! perhaps you should switch isp because thats stupid !

  • @ibbotson22 lol agreed its madness, i have so much tech that i end up downloading a lot so nothing i can really do about it but it seems that youtube has accounted for most of it lol

  • the bt thing is bullshit i keep getting bt ring me as well and this might be the reason why this sucks, living in the uk is getting worse and worse nowadays broadband will go back to the way of dial up im not making any more videos now because i heard the same bulls*** of a friend the other day got to love the goverment.

  • @nemesis3561 Agreed mate O2 threaten to cut me off and when im using the net toio mnuch BT cut my speed down because O2 are renting the line from BT but if O2 get their equipment in the exchange my speed won't be cut and there will be no restrictions, id love to know how that works, hopefully next month dave cameron will come to power and change it as hes more forward looking than the lazy arse labour govenment :)

  • why do i think soon that i will be getting this very same call from o2 because if they do it's going to seriously piss me off. With an unlimited account the shouldn't be able to dictate how often you use the bloody thing. I was so pissed when virgin kept cutting my connection speed that i moved to o2 i believed them better, obviously wrong.

  • @evilslothman Agreed when i went with O2 after moving here i read online how great they were and they have a UK call centre (big plus lol) and ive had no probs for the last year but now all of a sudden it is but then labour passed that stupid 3 strikes rules bullshit the other day so i suppose thats why they are clamping down. When i was in birmingham i had virgin and they were brilliant and i used to get a 10mb connection :(

  • Most "unlimited" ISP's like virgin, orange have fair usage policies. talk talk and Sky dont have a fair usage rights policy and are truly unlimited.

  • @The16bitwarrior Thanks dude i didn't know about talk talk i was thinking of switching to them so im gonna go have a look now thanks for letting me know :)

  • TISCALI DUDE im downloading at least 80gb a month think they hv bn bought over by talk talk same thing tho cheap aswell slow from 6 to 12 tho

  • @GamingExtreme187 Thanks dude yeah 16bitwarrior just reccomend them as well i didn't know they don't have a fair usage policy :) i don't mind slow speed at night i just hate being threatened because i use the service im paying for lol
