When I was a freshman in high school, Josh's album 'Awake' came out, and the song Mai will always remind me of beginning an amazing four years. In my most humble opinion, I do believe this to be the best song on JG's new album. Beautiful lyrics mixed with incredible music and of course Josh's breathtaking voice make for an astonishingly haunting and memorable song.

EPIC. Josh, you're awesome. I live in cali but this is just so perfect. How can he live everyday with this depth!? It's exhausting lol I remember the first time I saw him on Ally Mcbeal singing. He is the same age as me yet preforms like someone twice his age and experience. such a talent. I'd love to see him live one day.

Youtube is a nest of excrement, it is quite rare to listen to something made with superb criativity and quality as this movie is.
Of course you are not JG, however you deserve an award for creating so beautifull mounting. You are, indeed, quite creative. Keep doing these marvels. JG, another marvel,and us, his admirers, we all deserve them.

though i'm only 15, i love the city and have plans to move there as soon as i finish college. we spent a day there over christmas, and one day in the city beat out 9 years of living in the suburbs (i lived in philly when i was little). anyway, when we first got out of the lincoln tunnel, and got into the city, i was listening to this song. i listened to it for the first time since then yesterday, and immediately burst into tears. i swear the bells call me, and i can't wait to finally answer

I got this CD for Christmas from my friend. I took one look at it and screamed, "OMG IT'S JOSH GROBAN'S NEW CD!!!!!!" My family froze and gave me weird looks. They obviously don't understand... :)

In my most humble opinion, I do believe this to be the best song on JG's new album. Beautiful lyrics mixed with incredible music and of course Josh's breathtaking voice make for an astonishingly haunting and memorable song.

@Zajenforte To me it feels like 6/8 and then the oooh-oooh-oooh seems like 3 measures of 5/8 followed by 1 measure of 6/8, then repeated and back to 6/8 (with rubato thrown in here and there). That's my guess.

I've been on NYC last march. Nine months ago and I still cry every time I hear or see anything about this city. It's magical and I miss it so much. Seven days I will never forget. Thank you Josh for recording this and you are very right when you say that "the bells of New York City" tells us to stay.
