  • these families... how they went on living after this ... a black page in football history. my condolences from greece, i recently was informed about this accident, while i was reading a similar accident in Olympiacos ( greek team) Karaiskaki stadium ,back in 1981 ; a gate was shattered and 21 people died by suffocation when they tried to run to the exit, after a huge victory of the team.football is magic but its also stained by tearing fatal moments. R.I.P to all these souls of scotland.

  • @e5ediesed sadly, the families have no choice, life must go on, but we shall never forget them, thanks for your post.

    Rangers forever

  • We will never forget and will always have the deepest sympathy for all the people who perished on this fateful day. I watched the memorial service today and wept for the tragedy of the loss of all those young life's. A Celtic fan x

  • Condolences from a Celtic fan, i wasn't born then but i've heard all about the tragic day, it's so sad to know that 66 didn't come home that day, 66 who went to a game and lost their lives...and to all those making sick comments, you are a disgrace to yourselves and to CFC, at times like this footballing allegiance don't matter.

  • Sincere condolence from Southern Germany. As a true Celtic fan I sent my deepest sympathy to all the victims and their families, and I'm sure the true Celtic supporters all over the world show respect to those fans who died at Ibrox Park. I feel ashamed for the bastards who laugh about a terrible disaster, just cause it was on the other side of the stadium. What if it would have been YOUR father?

RIP 66, from an Airdrie United fan

  • RIP to all who died so tragically. I am a Celtic fan from Dublin. I love Glasgow and its people. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. I know I am speaking for all my true fellow supportors.

  • 40 Years Today

    RIP

  • Have to say big up the Celtic fans 2day,minutes silence, not a peep, respect GRFC 66 RIP.

  • To Absent Friends

    ALWAYS REMEMBERED

  • There are times in life when football must be put aside. Times when the city unites in grief and remembers those who have died over the years in both sides of the city, and these times should be respected by everyone. I will be at the game on Sunday, and I am fully confident that the attending Celtic supporters will give the minute silence the respect it deserves. After looking on some Celtic forums about the game, I was very touched to see many Celtic fans giving their respect and condolences

  • Whenever I think of the Ibrox Disaster I always think of this lady. She was just being a good mother that day. Her boy was delighted to be at the game. Tragic.

  • R.I.P everyone who passes away

  • I was a little kid when this happened. But can still remember the shocking scenes on tv. An appalling & tragic loss of 66 lives! Some of them just young kids. So soon after Aberfan.

  • God bless you Mrs. Easton. RIP your boy and the other 65 who never made it home that tragic day. My total respect to all fans of Celtic and other clubs who have left dignified comments.

  • @orangeone72 I have commented on this before and saw the tv programme last night for the first time and heard the fans who were at the game. This womans pain is so raw and touches even the hardest of hearts.May they rest in peace and never be forgotten.

  • @Maggiemooney91,Respect from A Gers fan,RIP 66+96,Bradford,Munich and Heysel.:(

  • Rest In Peace.

  • The previous poster=Hell bound.

  • @hunsrcunts How troubled must a mind be to have such hatred and contempt for a 13 year old child you never met? Even in warfare the combatants rarely lose the human compassion to offer respect to their enemy once dead yet here you display a deeper hatred towards someone who has done you no harm purely because he supported a rival football team. I have only pity for someone who hates with such depth that they have lost sight of their very humanity.

  • poor woman

  • I'm a Celtic fan and it makes me so sick to the stomach so called Celtic fans can joke about this, they aint well in the head!

Rip to all that died, from a true Celtic Fan x

  • @maggiemooney91 You respects are appreciated, thanx

  • @maggiemooney91 I couldn't agree more with you on this, they are a disgrace to Celtic Football Club, I watched the Stairway 13 documentary, that poor woman losing her 13 year old son on a day that should have been a normal day. RIP all that who died and my condolences with the families still. From a Celtic fan.

  • @maggiemooney91 thats brilliant m8!!! absent 66 friends never forgotten!!! thanks for the comment :)

  • @maggiemooney91 GOOD ON YOU

  • My thoughts go out to everyone who lost someone on this tragic day.

  • R.I.P the '66. Rangers 'til I die.

  • @J4K3T23 you make me sick !! RIP the 66 !

  • @J4K3T23 Your mother, if you have one, will be very proud. Burn in Hell, you child abusing fenian bastard.

  • @1916Liam You really should seek medical help.I really hope you never experience the pain of losing a loved one in such circumstances. You are not a true celtic fan.

  • @1916Liam

    You are ill

    Get help;

  • R.I.P. the Rangers supporters who died in this terrible tragedy , i remember how steep the steps where at the celtic end at Ibrox , Hampden too , it could be scary as a wee boy leaving the ground , you will always remain in our thoughts and our hearts , yours in football . A Celtic fan

  • @forever18forever

Could not agree more mat. I was 10 at the time and my two big brothers were at the game ( celtic end) they never knew anything about it and went to the pub me , my mum and dad ( a rangers fan) were frantic with worry and just hugged them for hours after they came home. I feel so sorry for all the families that had no one to hug.

  • i was at the game my my brother who has sadly passed away now i gave my scarf to help bind the wounds of the injured like all the decent celic supporters my heart goes out to the famileys of theses people god love and bless them R,I,P

  • RIP From the Tims

  • Very sad and brings it home just how this affected loved ones.I should not really draw attention to the very very sad 'people' who post the disgusting comments but its time they looked hard in the mirror at their own eyes staring back and very quietly ask themselves why they do it.They must have such painful and lonely lives with noone to look out for them and care the way the victims were loved and cared for.STOP it now you are disgusting humans.

  • im a celtic obsessor but i still feel a little pain for these rangers fans.. respect to everyones family that have been affected by this!(L)<3 x

  • respect to all the non rangers fans leaving respectful comment especially celtic fans :) thank you

  • Respect to all the Bears who organized the Markinch memorial on Sunday for the five young lads.

I'm the same age and came down stairway 13 and into town on to a Marx Bros film unaware of the horror that awaited when we came out.

Still sticks in my mind till this day .

Well done to the Tic fans and non-Bluenoses that have left respectful comments.

    RIP boys

    RFC

  • Heartbreaking, Truly Heartbreaking.

  • never forgotten

  • Yaas man Ibrox Doon below

  • RIP to the people who died in this horrific disaster. Most true celtic fans think the ibrox disaster was a tragedy and the ones who make fun of it are scum and are not true celtic fans.

Even jock stein helped carry the bodies out for gods sake so it was no laughing matter

    RIP to the 66

    From a Loyal Celtic Fan

  • You,re wee boy is in heaven Mrs.. YNWA God bless

  • R I P- TRUE RANGERS FAN

  • RIP to the 66 who died that day.I dont like rangers(ir celtic much for that matter) but these were innocent people who went to a football match. Those who type nasty things on this vid are absolute vermin.

At least this will never happen again at a British stadium.

From a Burnley and Aberdeen fan

  • Am not going to read all the comments that have been left on this video, after hearing that lady's first few minutes I really do not want to anyway, just in case.

RIP her lad, and RIP all the 66.

    Hail Hail, YNWA.

  • I see a few people with BJK after their comments, do you guys even know what Jock Stein did in the Ibrox Disaster? I'm a Celtic supporter and anyone who posts that shite is not a real Rangers supporter, just like anyone who posts disrespectful stuff about the Ibrox Disaster should never be considered real Celtic supporters.

    RIP to the 66

  • R.I.P From A Celtic fan gone but not forgotten

  • RIP

  • @calBHA1 your ma is funny

  • RIP from a True Blue!!

  • so tragic.. it's a shame about the halfwits on this vid.. how can you possibly get your kicks out of 8 year old kids dying? it's a shame people like that exist in this world..

God bless the 66 from all at Liverpool Fc.. And God bless our 96 that perished at hillsborough!!

  • I am Celtic supporter ,season ticket holder and shareholder.

To all those who died, R.I.P.

This woman is a lady .

Her integrity and intelligence stand beside her grief.

To those insulting the memory of the dead and Jock Stein.Who helped carry the wounded and dead, i despair.

You are emotionally cold and impotent of intelligence.

I hope the day comes when bigotry dies.

  • am only 30 so it was way before my time as much as i love rangers getting beat id happly see motherwell relegated to the third division if it meant we could bring baack the 66 dead from that terrible night

  • YNWA to the human beings that went to a football match, and never again saw their loved ones.

It was unacceptable the way football fans were treated in those days. Lessons, unbelievable, were not learned because Burnden Park saw massive casualties about 40 years before ... Hillsborough saw 96 a few years after.

An attitude of control, not safety, has killed hundreds of people. At least today we have stadi that are unlikely to serve up the sort of tragedy that we have endured before.

    YNWA.

  • @MikeNIcholson1972 this type of thing will never happen again in any british or irish stduim again

  • @ticforme you are a heartless moron, that really needs to ty and get at least a little grip on life.

  • rip fellow gers absent friends in our hearts title 53 & counting glasgow rangers champions 112 trophys thats why we are rangers super rangers no one likes us we dont care we hate celtic fenian bastards and we,ll chase them everywhere !!!!! BIG JOCK KNEW !!!!!

  • LOL

  • I'm a Celtic fan and I just want to say that this was a horrible disaster. May they all rest in peace.

  • Ur..no

  • respect to all who lost their lives.

  • A Christian supporting the IRA? I hardly think any member of the Vatican, let alone the Pope, or any church, be it Protestant, Catholic or Orthodox, would condone the murders of innocent people merely for being Protestants, or as you and your support so delicately put it 'Huns'.

"No matter what religion, everyone should have the right to live their full life" you say? Well, the IRA obviously don't share your views.

  • am a celtic fan and for people to laugh and disrespect the innocent rangers fans that died that day are just scum, there were kids that died for fuck sake, how people can insult and make sick jokes about what happened that day is beyond me. r.i.p

  • lol hahahahahahahahah

  • Die ScumBag !!!

  • A hearbreaking tragedy. All respect to those who lost their lives.

  • This video tells me that there are many things that are far more important than football games.

Let's hope that this dreadful event never happens again

    Gerard

  • Mary Elizabeth Frye

wrote the beautiful poem the lady quoted from.

May your son always watch over you Mrs Easton until you are reunited once more.

  • am in the flowers that bloom,

We are united in grief. God Bless Glasgow Rangers and Celtic

    No Surrender

  • and after watching this, i can only say it broke my heart.
