  • rafa and roger are gays lol ^^

  • two legends

    NADAL WAS THE MAN !!!

  • ...after this match it seemed like more people were out playing tennis the next day....haha the courts were filled...everyone was still talkin bout the match...great match!!!

  • Vamos Rafaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • The greatest final in history, humility won over EGO!

  • haha, 4:15 there was a guy sticking his hand out right in Nadals face to shake it. But he finally got to him in the end:)

  • Federer is the best tennis player ever. But I believe that, Nadal at his best, is the World´s best player. I know, it´s an incongruity. Is possible that, the Nadal´s best tennis only appears when he competes against Federer. In any case, it´s wonderful to see it.

  • Roger is true class. Roger is gentleman..

  • Roger is classic great player. Roger is gentleman..

  • i know rogers a good played but i dont like him. hes really cocky and thinks hes god. hes acting like someone died. like her already won five up to that point like wtf.

  • @sonyaroxxx thats why you are a looser and hes a winner. "reach for the starst" they say........ though in your case, 10 ft high ?

  • @sonyaroxxx it doesn't work like that...

  • @sonyaroxxx Well said! Rafa is humility personified, what an example! If only there were more...

  • Roger is true class. love Roger

  • @federerbestclass How many videos are you going to post this on?

  • Que merito el de Nadal!

Competir de tu a tu y tener un record favorable con el mejor tenista de la historia.

  • nadal is federers master. the only tme federer wins slams is when nadal is either injured or unlucky.LOL

  • Roger is so cute :)

  • Roger. 2003. 2004. 2005. 2006. 2007. 2009. Roger won

  • Nadal 6 Grand Slams at 23

    Federer 1

    Get out and Fuck off.

  • This was the best match of all time. Well done Nadal!

  • mcenroes a bit of a poof

  • @oprah999 dude he only has 6. How about: what does he do with all of his GRAND SLAM WINNER TROPHIES?

  • you know, federer did cry in the 2009 AO, but here, he just had a few tears here and there. he cried about the same as roddick when he lost in 2009 wimbledon final.

  • rofl @ John ''Thank You for Lying!!'' hahah!

  • U guys don"t have a clue about tennis !

    Nadal cried after 2007 final

  • Thank you for lying. John is soo funny!

  • probably throws them away. To many gold trophies already filling up whatever room he stores that stuff in.

  • john at 1:02 is great

  • Rafa the greatest !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love fed but hes such a fag wen he loses

  • shows that hes human. if it were me, id probably break that runner up plate right in front of everyone. so i prefer his ego lol.

  • Vamos Rafa =)

  • Roger is hot... Roger love... Roger Federer Best

  • Roger's failure to convert break points cost him this match- he was like 1 for 18 or something stupid like that.

The main reason being Rafa's out-swinging lefty serve to the Ad court, to Rogers backhand, just pulls the Swiss right off the court. Rog can't just stand outwide waiting for it because he knows Rafa will just bomb a change-up down the T, which he did once or twice during this match.

So much talk about great tacticians in tennis, but Rafa, for me, is the best

  • (To 'GoFedererWoo') Yeah but with 18 opportunities, if he runs around the backhand for most of them, it's gotta work eventually. If Rafa goes down the T once or twice, then so be it. Either way, Fed's current strategy is obviously not working. French Open 07, 1 of 17 break points converted. Same as virtually all of their matches. But yeah, Rafa dominates in virtually all areas of the game (well, he did, at least)

  • Rafa is just the best. I was crying after the match. Poor Fed tough. Unbelievable tennis, like McEnroe said, it was just scary good.

  • roger have take this lose sooo fair

  • Federer Best

  • this tennis match makes me weep with its beauty...god roger reminds me of myself when i lose

  • the greatest tennis match ever played.

  • I watched this match live - poor Roger - 13 grand slams at this time. 20+ straight semi appearances at Grand Slams. Dry your eyes Snuffaluffagis. Nobody likes a crybaby. Especially the best player in the history of tennis. Can't win 'em all little fella.

  • 1:00 lol that's nice, way to be caring

  • These two are some of the most sportsmanlike athletes in the modern world. I mean, at that level of skill, you don't find people as humble as these guys. Respect.

  • NADAL IS A VERY HUMBLE GUY!!!!

  • I'm a huge Federer fan, however, I am shocked to feel that even when Nadal loses, I feel bad for him. As in, I am actually sad. It was too bad he couldn't play at Wimbledon 2009 (but at least we still got an amazing match with Roddick and Federer). Nice to know he is playing again at the Rogers Cup.

  • I disagree.

If I won Wimbledon, I would celebrate til the wheels fell off.

  • ya I would too. but u don't see federer, djokovic, roddick, sampras, or really any other player doing that. I mean imagine if u were the losing opponent, and someone like nadal was celebrating like that, how would you REALLY feel?

  • anyone remember rafter? :)

  • What a load of rubbish...Nadal's celebrations were not over the top! And he's such a humble and gracious champion and is the same when he loses too!

If you want to see "over the top" then look no further than Federer...when he won this years Wimbledon I found his jacket with "15" embroidered on was a big disrespectful display given that all those other great champions were there watching, Sampras, Borg and Laver...I find those outfits totally in bad taste he's more of a showman than Nadal is

  • i agree, nadal is humble but lets get one thing straight. NIKE gave federer the jacket that said 15 on it. federer didnt ask for it. he even said in the post wimbledon interview that night that it was a good SURPRISE and gift from NIKE. get ur facts straight dipshit.

  • Whatever, at least I didn't use foul language in putting my point of view across...you had no right to swear and call me such a stupid and frankly immature name! Even if that is the case, he chose to wear it and that to be was bad judgement & totally disrespectful...especially when Pete Sampras had shown such class & respect towards Federer by showing up knowing his record was about to be broken!

  • ur right and im sure federer will show up when someone breaks his record.

  • I have to say I disagree, I don't understand why it is disrespectful at all to wear his class gear. In my opinion, Federer just want's a better image not by the way he plays but also they way he looks, he is a model after all -> so if he doesn't wear fashionable clothing it will make him look bad. His fashion made him have more support, more fans and more attention, which a tennis player dreams of having. He isn't stopping e.g. Nadal from wearing class gear. Why do you think it is disrespectful?

  • Well it's a matter of opinion about being fashionable...it's a well known fact, was said today during Nadal's match at the US Open that Nadal's clothing sells 10-1 of Federer's for NIKE so that to me says it all people much prefer Nadal's clothing/dress sense to that of Federer's!

  • Do you really think Nike would give Federer a jacket without his approval? Do you think Federer was unaware of exactly how his jacket looked when he wore it this past Wimbledon? Federer may not have asked for his jacket but he sure did wear it didn't he?

  • so? nadal fans have to respect federer. i know they're rivals. why cant u guys get along with federer fans like federer and nadal get along? and so what if federer chose to wear it? he DESERVES it. he has put in more work and dedication more than anyone on the tennis court right now. nadal has yet to achieve that. i think nadal will go far and be a great. but right now its federers time. just like it was sampras's, or laver's or borg's, or connors. just respect federer, he has payed his dues.

  • I have so much respect for Federer and his rivalry with Nadal is the best thing for tennis right now. To me Federer's twenty-something straight slam semifinals is more impressive than 15 titles. His consistency and dominance is amazing! (and annoying when you're a fan of Roddick...)

  • ur just jealous that he broke the record. im sure nadal will break federers record but federer is a great player and yall are to embarassed to say it. and its not a disrespect to the greats. they KNOW that federer was gonna break the record sooner or later. im done talking to a dipshit like you who doesn't know a thing of what it takes to win 15 grand slams.

  • I can't stop laughing at your stupidity! everyone is entitled to their opinion without having some ignorant and frankly immature person like you retorting to insults! I respectfully wish to agree to disagree with your comments! That is not disrespectful of Federer or of any other player just how I feel...you don't like it then that's your problem not mine!

  • the first spaniard to win the cup in 20 years...winning the most prestigious tennis championship at the age of 21, you'd celebrate like that too faggot

  • he's probably got a crush on Nadal

  • Legen

    wait for it

    Dary

  • wonder how mcenroe would've reacted if after losing to borg, some reporter said "gimme a hug"

  • Altough I am a Federer fan to the very core, I love to see how Federer and Nadal get along with each other. I, and I mean that literally, cried after Federer lost but it was a little bit redeeming to see that he lost to a guy he respects and likes.

Also, I love how McEnroe interviews Federer and Nadal. Cudos!

  • finally a fed fan tht respects nadal! i respect u as nadal fan roger is a great player and both played their hearts out, this match was probably the best in MY record book

  • both players bring out the best of each other so i love them. we miss u rafa! hope we see you in US Open. Both Roger and you.

  • we miss u Rafa, so bad :(

  • 1:06 john mcenroe want to cry to hahahahahaha

  • true lovers of this sport can't hate federer or nadal, i love both

  • I love both of them.

  • i dont know why federer fans hate rafa and make fun of him sometimes.....he has always been soo much repectful to roger and has always said federer is the Greatest Of All Time....if there was noo rafa, federer wud have won 20 of the past 22 slams...dont u think that wudve made sport incredibly boring?????

  • you think federer fans hate nadal? nadal fans hate federer even more. go look on other videos.

  • fyi im like federer and nadal. i just chose federer to be my username and i like him slightly better. and ur wrong, federer doesn't win every grand slam every year. even if the federer fans do, thats no reason to take it out on roger. he's the GOAT and even nadal said it but his fans are too arrogant and stubborn to admit it

  • ur right federer can't beat nadal right now. ur right nadal is better. and GOAT means greatest of all time but a retard wouldn't know. nobodies perfect ur right. laver wasn't perfect, sampras wasn't perfect. federer isn't perfect. but guess what? they are all one of the greatest of all time and im sure that nadal will be a great someday too. but first he has to prove it by winning more grand slams!

  • i know... roger has shut his doubters...and now its rafas time. if rafa wants to be in the elite group..he has to earn it.

  • yes ur right. i expect federer maybe to win a couple more grand slams then he'll start his road to reitrement and nadal will be the new federer

  • True that. There's alot of new talent coming through though. Del Potro and the likes. Nadal won't have it all his own way.

  • 'i try to be very concentrate'

  • With regard to this PAST interview....what a difference a year makes!!!!

  • i can't stand John McEnroe on the mic--he's so obviously a Federer fanboy...Partrick McEnroe is far better on the mic....Love Roger giving everything he had to hold on to the title and Rafa ascending to the throne at the end....both men are class acts

  • Hard not to be a fanboy. These guys are both incredible - truly a special rivalry that brings out some amazing tennis.

However, McEnroe seemed to give both the same amount of respect.

  • they both are truly great talents and I love their rivalry....Johnny Mac could do a much better job not showing favortism in my opinion...the only reason he gave Nadal any credit was because he HAD to, because he had just won Wimbledon...Patrick McEnroe is the true announcing talent in the family

  • I agree with your first comment - but as a Nadal fan, and as someone who hates seeing biased reporting, I can't say I noticed any favouritism from McEnroe. He seemed genuinely sympathetic with Federer - and commented on the end about how no one was a loser in such a match. At the same time he gave the respect and praise to Raffa that he deserved - ending by saying it was an honour to play with him and an honour to watch him. I think hes a big raffa fan.

  • who isn't federer fanboy in the world??? except for nadal fans???

  • I respect nadal, but FEDERER our NUMBER 1

  • and besides Federer's english is kinda better ;) J/K :D

  • Vamos Rafa....

  • Federer is such a great champion, I mean look at him here he's so gracious in defeat but he's devastated inside. He's a winner.

  • mcEnroe is a good character for the tennis world and god we are blessed with these 2 big champs , i think they would rule in any era .

  • Give McEnroe some credit, he knows how Federer was feeling having lost some painful matches in his career (Borg 1980 etc) and gave him his space. Also be sure to note Nadal's expression at 1:08 when he sees his rival walk away crying. Genuine respect right there.

  • Honestly Nadal outplayed Federer fairly thoroughly this entire match. It is a tribute to Federer's greatness that he was able to come so close to winning despite being outplayed and making as many unforced errors as he did. I remember watching this thinking "how in the WORLD is Federer even in this match?"

  • Love how NBC put the replay and the theme song together; the production is just superb. Same way NBC was awesome for the NBA. Oh well...

  • i love the way he says "john" vamos rafa!

  • Comment removed

  • One of the greatest rivalries in history. Maybe the greatest majors match ever at that level.

  • I LOVE the moment at 5:15 when you see Roger Federer's father reach out and try to shake Nadal's hand. Of course, Nadal didn't notice him because he was too busy celebrating with his own family, but that image shows that the respect and sportsmanship between those two players extends to their families as well. Those two guys... jeez they just exemplify what a rivalry in sports should be.

  • I loved these interviews. I was so disappointed after the match because I'm a die hard Federer fan, but these interviews really made me smile because Federer was so emotional and Nadal was so humble. Both were such great sportsmen. Federer, before breaking down, made sure to give Nadal all the props in the world and when Federer walked away crying you could see Nadal look after him with compassion and concern. They're both just such great leaders for the sport.

  • This year is Federer's chance at RG. Rafa is out! If Murray or anyone else wins this year, Roger may never win in France.

  • all you fags saying hes seeking attention are fucking retarded. Put yourselves in his position, im pretty sure you'd be crying like queerios.

  • its so funny how mcenroe wants to give federer a hug and federers like "get the fuck away from me" haha

  • i think youd be feeling the same way if youve worked so hard and you lose just by hitting a ball into the net.

  • You are so right about Federer's behaviour. Rafael Nadal has lost & won matches and acted with respect towards his opponents regardless, he knows how to handle the ups and downs and Federer's older than he is! It's just attention seeking and to me he's a spoilt brat! I love Rafael Nadal because he's so humble and to me epitomises what a real champion is in how he behaves!

  • Ok just because Federer is more emotional doesn't mean that he's less of a sportsman. Youre right though, Nadal seems to be able to handle losing with more grace than Federer, but that doesnt make him a better sportsman, it just makes him well more graceful in defeat. Federer made sure to note before his emotions took over that Nadal played awesome and that he deserved it and at the Aussie Open he made sure to try to talk for the 2nd time before Rafa 'cause he said Rafa deserved the last word.

  • dwilliams02...I agree for the most part on what you have said, but my view/opinion extends to other occasions where Federer has displayed behaviour less becoming of a true sportsman/champion - he was all sweetness and light when he was winning...but when he started losing well some of his comments were not very sportsman like!

  • the very end of wimbledon when they play the song "world champion" is the best. when they show highlights of the match and that song is playing it gives me the goosebumps... i can't wait for this year.

  • wow hate much?

  • we wil see. just so u know federer has a chance at winning the french, n if he does, nadal will never meet the heights of Roger federer.

    suck on that bitch.

this swiss shit will hopefully make u top urself u cunt

  • rafa picks his wedgie after every point haha

  • Vamos RAFA!

  • Hopefully we will see more of the same tennis in this years final. I feel for roger, but every mans time comes i guess. Same thing happened to Pete when he was goin for 5 in a row.

  • the greatest wimbledon match ever played

  • I'd say the greatest tennis match ever played.

  • It was a privilige to watch such an incredible and historical sporting event with two supreme sportsmen. Rafa really is the man and I thank Rafa and Roger for their excellence and the superb tennis. Wow, what a final. Peace.

  • FEDERER FOR #4!

  • FEDERER is the best.

  • simple as that

  • yeah

  • Federer is the greatest of all time and if there is anyone who deserves piss on their face it is you, because of your stupidity.

  • without doubt for me the greatest tennis match ever and one of the greatest sporting moments in the history of professional sport!!!

  • well it would be better had maestro won, but still,.. n1

  • The greatest match I have ever seen! I love the Wimbledon music on NBC...it never gets old!

  • Seriously unbelievable match. So much story, drama and amazing shots in this match.

Before this match, the king of clay and the king of grass could not dethrone each other's kingdoms.

Federer didn't lose a single set coming into this match, and automatically loses the first 2 to Rafa.

Federer saving that match point with the back hand passing shot (in the previous point, it was Rafa's amazing passing shot).

Played till the very last minute of playable tennis, before total darkness came.

  • Roger showing emotion and Rafael showing compassion and concern is just so beautiful to me. It's what true sportsmanship is about!

These two young men have truly taken tennis to another level...

  • Has anyone ever noticed that Rafa said "dankeschön" (German for thank you) when mcenroe takes that little thingy off his shirt? LOL - someone got a little confused I think ;)

  • I believe he says "thank you john" but he says it really fast!! :)

  • a man and most of all a champion should have a respect when the rival wins i think roger was childly behaving he fucked up nadals celebration.but nadal as allways was a gentleman.and didnt fucked up rogers criying

  • agreed

  • I don't see how Roger's respect for Rafa has anything to do with whether he gets emotional after losing a tournament he's won five years running. People aren't machines, (well except for Rafa that is) he can't just turn off his emotions.

  • Thanks for this - the bbc didn't show it!

    Wonderful x

  • 4.58, THAT monent is priceless.I want it.

  • we all want that moment, but alot of hard work has gone into experiencing that very very special moment! he must have felt like he was floating in the clouds!

  • at 1:08, u can see the 'concerned' look rafa gave when he saw roger walking off.

rafa is a great sportsman with a very well-grounded and humble upbringing, and the true heart of a champion.

now that roger is working with cahill, i believe he will have his chances to win more majors, and hopefully overcome this rafa mental block, cahill has a great coaching CV.

great class by johnny mac in this interview too.

  • Shame for Fed then that the Cahill pairing has fallen through

  • McEnroe says : ...Is that any consolation?

    Federer says: A little bit

Federer means: Fuck, no! This hurts like a bitch...

  • Exactly. They asked him that during the post match and his exact words were "No. Zero consolation."
