The people here are morons... Dogs exhale on each other's faces to initiate "play-time". More insecure dogs, typically smaller dogs, appear more aggressive while larger dogs tend to seem more playful.

actually maybe you should educate yourself... you obviously have no grasp of dog behavior or training. The dog is exhibiting a fearful defensive posture. It is NOT playing. And suggesting that you give your hand to a puppy to nibble on is just plain stupidity, all you would be doing is teaching the puppy that it's alright to bite at and attempt to dominate humans.
