Raymond! Thank you for your handstand video and to be my inspiration. Your the reason my handstand have got sooo much better its great to hear that you live your life great. Love to Strength Project!
Any healthy man who eats like a man is supposed to (natural foods) and uses his body actively can be ripped. Its this 'modern' culture of sitting in cars, sitting at a desk for work and eating calories that of a marathon runner and to top it off full of manufactured ingredients that makes a man fat and soft. Funny how a 'modern' culture goes backward and against what nature had worked so hard to produce!
Peace, when I was portrait artist down in the village, i do remember when Alex starting hanging with the Calypso Tumblers. I even remember seeing him with a unicycle. Myself I was too a tumbler, but not like these guys. It's amazing to see Alex still have it going on, I'm approaching 55. I was also known back when as a moko jumbi (stilt-dancer) working too for Virgin Island tourism. Stay blessed.
Dude you say it SO fucking calm - Trying to do the back flip " A friend of mine, broke his neck. Died the next day.... oh, but that didn't stop me..." D:
yea i tot so too when i first saw the video last week when it was uploaded - but i think it's a natural coping "mechanism" of his (or any other human for that matter) when talking about such painful memories, plus to stay positive and simply "ignore" it. (sometimes humans hav a natural tendency to form apathetic habits/reactions aft having to speak about a particular "painful" memory many times when asked)
@sketchyou Yeah You're right I can understand it... I have a similar story but it always send's shivers down my spine to just think about it. I don't Know I figured I'd at least see something in his face
Yea I landed on my neck the first time I tried a full twist. I jumped to high and when I came down for the landing my body kept turning going into another flip and I landed on my neck.Should have went for the 2 in the air,i'm glad I didn't die becuase I landed on my neck knocked the air out of my lungs and bit my tongue.
Agreed! Cool.. But a tough livin' in the early years if u'd ask me..no joke. being homeless for just 1 mth (instead of his 6 as he stated) can be extremely difficult (and lonely). Cheers dude! ;) @staticxmr
@StrengthProject Please ask Raymond/Alex Bartlette to create (or maybe you could assist him) his own personalized Youtube channel so we can subscribe to him directly! :D don't worry we're still going to support your channel and won't run away shld this suggestion ensue haha, cheers!
the world need more positive people like Raymond(alex). Street preformers maybe doesn´t make the biggest paycheck but they get experiance that couldn´t be bought for any money in the world!
Bartlette seems like one of those gems you really don't find anymore in the world. It feels weird to not even know him, and to think that he's one of the most inspiring people I've ever come across, even if it's just in a video. Lucky are the people who get the opportunity to meet him. This video made me really, really happy Thank you :)
This guy is such an inspiration, he simply wanted to travel and to do so doing acrobatic street performing was ingenious in my eyes and must have taken so much dedication. He appreciates everything and cant make that much money, but yet was kind enough to help out his mother with what little he had, not only is he an example of fitness, hes an example for all those out there as a person.
thanks for this video man. very inspirational. it lifts your spirits up. this brotha Alex is an amazing individual. can't wait to get out there to Cali, looking forward to the experience
@strengthproject Hey Arash have you guys tried using Vibram Five Fingers shoes? I cross train and am a Martial Artist I'd like to see what you guys think about them they've been very helpful. Best shoes for posture and flexibility its like being barefoot.
Nice! I would never have thought of 'this guy jumped over me in chicago' as a compliment hahaha.. but eversince Raymond Bartlette and The Calypso Tumblers have come to my knowledge.. HELL YEAH! @LucasBlancTV
Great job Arash! Thanks for putting this together for us! Am always always going to Raymond's video (you posted previously) on the 6 steps to doing a handstand to learn from it and his 'Stay in Shape' video to get Inspiration!
Yes yes, and not forgetting SAM TRIBBLE!! @ArtofSpin
Wow, way to pull yourself out of the gutter O_o This man did fight for it and truly deserves everything he has right now though, must be an awesome feeling. :)
Raymond: Do you do isolation training on your biceps and triceps? And do you strive for size and appearance of muscles or do you only do functional training when it comes to resistance and weights?
I will! Subtitles just take so long! I'm a 1 man crew at the moment for editing, and sometimes filming... Sometimes I average 1 to 2 videos a day, so please imagine how long that takes for one person :O I will get it done, I'm a hard worker :)
@strengthproject Got it, thanks! That's always confused me. And thanks for this video, this guy is awesome. I've been firing up handstand pushups since I saw the tutorial with him.
Ey mate is it possible to include the names of the soundtracks you're using cause I really like some of em and would like to get my hands on em so that'd be great, cheers.
