Thanks for the post. In addition to Sunburst being such a great album and the fact that I went through so much to get my hands on it, I dig it for other reasons. One of which was the amalgamation of three sounds, if you will: "Mwandishi" (w/ Henderson, Priester, Hart, and Buster), Headhunters (Mason's drumming), and George Duke's signature sound of that era (w/ Duke & Alphonso). Not to mention some tracks had 2 drummers like Henderson's two previous albums. Great cosmic jazz-funk/fusion.
Thanks for posting this. I have never heard this version. Love the horn playing of course! Surprised I never heard it played on KKGO back in the day here in So Cal. Brings back fond memories of finding new recordings buying them and coming home and sitting down and listening to my stereo.
This song is probably one of the best songs ever!!!!! The Bass line on the chorus is sooooooooooo tight!!!!!!! I love the moog solo by George Duke, so killer!!
Thank you so much for posting this music. You have excellent taste in music. Always thought this was a wonder album. So good to hear this again.

And how could I neglect to mention Bennie Maupin, who contributed greatly to both Mwandishi and the Headhunters?
