  • love this! brings back the good times when life was simpler........

  • cannot get that tune out my head lol

  • 7 people are far from Magnificient! ZERO SOUL.

  • I love the True sample.

  • <3 CLASSIC !!

  • 1990's were the Best. Much better than the Rest

Hands up all you PM Dawn fans let's put this under a crest

    Why's today's music in such a mess? -

That's the way it goes - I guess!

  • i remember this video when it was brand new,im getting old,lol

  • The Good Old 90's .. I Miss Those Days ..

I have listen to it .. on a bus on radio .. few years ago .. and by a piece of chance I found in on a electronic music forum .. yeah weird .. the paths of God ..

The song .. like then .. like now .. it's a optimistic journey .. it motivates You to do the good things .. like I don't know .. LOVE ..

    Cheers !

  • is that e40 lmao

  • @skaterboy227100 you fucking rook.

  • I don't care what anyone says, I miss the days of r n b electro soul and trance. PM Dawn, Soul 2 Soul, Del la Soul, SWV, Arrested Development, even Outkast in their early days, I love it all, can't get enough of this blissed out shit. I wish they still did it now to the same degree they did in the early nineties. But it won't because ghetto rap has taken over. Don't get me wrong, a lot of great nineties to early noughties stuff, but its getting old and the main players these days are rubbish.

  • christina applegate you gotta put me on

  • Damn this song is so good... And it's a year older than me!

  • This is so funny the slim guy with the shades on looks like Flying Lotus. Who agrees ?

  • dam i was born one year later but the first time i listen this song i was like i think i've

heard this. one day i ask my mom about the song and she was like dam how could u know this song. she told me this is her favorite song. so now i know when i heard this in my mother belly .LMFAOOOOOOOOO

  • Thank you Vh1 for helping me find this song again

  • This is the best use of a Spandau Ballet sample... PERIOD!

  • I was 10 when this came out its 20 years old now roll on another 20 years classic then classic now and a classic it will always be

  • one word amazing. wish somebody in the music industry today made music like this. the 80's and some 90's were the best.

  • I remember this song back in the day -

It sucked then , it sucks now.

KRS-One summed it up when he checked them offstage in a New York club in the '90s.

    A man of impeccable taste.

  • this is the most relaxing music ever

  • I heard this song when I was 8, my aunt bought me a hip-hop oldies CD this was on it and I listened to it only a thousand times, I lost the CD I'm 13 now and when I was 12 I was so pissed off that I couldn't find it, I'd searched for 4 years and I had NO idea what the words were, I can't remember what I typed in in the search box, but I found it, long story short, I fucking love this song. Thank god I found it!

  • there are a lot of threads of meaning in this song...and I really understand this song because I've thought the same as the author of this song. Sometimes we set out just to have a fling/hookup and the other person thinks the same thing about us, we think that the other person will fall for us, but we are immune. life isn't that simple though and sometime those people haunt us. We wonder what could've been if we hadn't been so purposedly closehearted...

  • i heard it for a couple of times on the radio..

but they never say who sang this song..

    thank god there's you tube..

  • I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SONG FOR AGES..

  • Freakin' awesome song - anyone know of the song meaning?

  • man~ i wish music nowadays was this good~ all those justin BEAVER shit man~

  • @Bradley12595 According to Tony Hadley in a 1993 interview, they shot this video in Miami.

  • Lekker met het raampje open in de auto, richting scheveningen..Genieten van het mooie weer;) Heerlijk nummertje

  • great music

  • damn

  • 5 people dont set adrift on memory bliss

  • much to my girlfriend's dismay i've listened to this song about 50 times in a row and still am not sick of it at all. to me this equals timeless.

  • the choir of this song is not of the backstreet boys???

  • Nice touch with cameo apperance from Tony Hadley towards the end there. Classic song from the year I was born. LOVE IT :)

  • They don't make videos like this anymore :( This one's so dreamy and relaxing.

  • @outrageouznezz07799 I agree, nothing but crap now....if you were a kid in the 80's and 90's, that was the best era....in every aspect...

  • Dang! What happened to them?! This is one of the smoothest songs.. ever!

  • Jusin Bieber has more views!? What's wrong with the world?

  • @renevantdenevant more young lady appeal....I guess.

  • @renevantdenevant its coming to an end

  • esta cancion es un clasico de los principios de los 90 ...un muy buen tema q tan solo escucharla uno simplemente RETROCEDE A SU ENTRADA DE adolecente.

  • I was in the 7th grade when this came out....what a hit! total classic. Thanks PM dawn for all the memories

  • yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy boy!!! this is my jam since i was 9..though it came out when i was in 1st grade

  • The voices' intro is amazing!

  • good song,good memories,

  • Wow, it's Prop. Joe from "The Wire"

  • Lovely harmonies. The Spandau Ballet sample includes I think the Prophet V synthesiser, which gives so much warmth.

  • best recording on here that ive found. wish i had four hand so i could give you four thumbs up... the milks gone bad!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I love Spandau Ballet's True but PM Dawn puts Spandau Ballet's version to shame; that's why Tony Hadley (lead singer of Spandau Ballet) is swanning around in PM Dawn's video!

  • @outrageouznezz07799 It's also more money in his pocket, I would think.

  • @megaforcemedia True, True! (No pun intended)

  • Does anyone know where this group is or why they fell off?

  • Im surprised there is even 5 dislikes, get a grip 5, this song does so much , its a great song

  • thi s shiit is soo intins. i cant git enuf of it. i lisen to it in my trayler all da

  • baby you sent me baby you sent me never fgets old and that beachy tune to it perfect i know im only 15 but my music now has no meaning to it i wish i grew up in the

    90's

  • @TheLavaris I agree completely! And I don't just like the 90's for the music!

  • @Vanool35 me nither you didnt have to be a clone in the 90's being yourself was cool and not being a fack

  • @Vanool35 me nither you didnt have to be a clone in the 90's being yourself was cool and not being a fake but now everyone wants to be a clone

  • the backstrett messed this up

  • this was 91? god damn time flies. i was 13 when this came out

  • bahahhahah!! big ups to the VCR intro, CLASSIC on its own hehe :p

  • love it baby u send me

  • This is the only truly Melodic rap song ive Heard, partial thx to Spandau Ballet.

  • thx for sharing!

  • I love the intro

  • I love the fact that these guys were rapping about what's on their minds, not what's on the streets

  • I have always enjoyed this song, but I wish they would have done a acoustic performance. The sampling I understand, rap wouldn't exist without it. Piano and vocals would be amazing...

  • perfect

  • don't you miss the 90's

  • <3 That's the way it goes....I guess.

  • 5 dislike's!

    Are they mad?

This is such a great song!

    and nice sample work!

  • @SonicDestroyer84 I know, right?

  • 5 people drifted up Shyt CREEK!!

  • @jrsmooth90210 without a paddle !!!

  • there's nothing like the music of the 90's

  • I loved how clean this song dared to be; in spite of the popularity of other rappers who were into the "gangsta" rap era.

  • What a masterful collaboration between PM Dawn and Spandau Ballet from the 1980's. This is music my brothers !

  • This is back in the day when hop hop was about the music, miss those days when it was simple

  • Anytime I need to just chill out I just click on some PMDawn and its cool. Remember the movie "Boomerang" ? Loved that fukn movie.

  • Ok ok, I used to make fun of this when I was in junior high going into my freshman year of high school... I'm officially on the "bring that back bus."

  • hey man you did such an awesome job on this. Don't know how to remaster this stuff but wld love it if some1 wld do it to "ways of the wind" by pm dawn. loved that cd 'the abyss'

  • these surely where the good old days

  • i love this song

  • me acuerdo cuando escuchaba esta cancion con pirincho virtteri y son canciones que nunca se olvidan

  • i wonder what ever happened to these guys ?

  • This was my song back in the day. Thanks for posting !!! "That's the way it goes ... I guess".

  • The cameo appearance by Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet lead singer) adds a nice touch to the video; he even sings his own refrain!

  • Just perfect. :D

  • Music now a days is so bull that makes you really miss music like this. Why does everyone what to sound like a transformer?

  • Makes me miss the good old days!

  • He Reminds me of an R&B e 40 cuz of how he looks lol

  • The guy in the water and at the end of the video is he the lead singer of the band Spandu ballet?

  • I had always felt so alone in loving these talented men, I'm so glad to finally find others who not only know who they are but love them too. God they sound as good as I remember.

  • Takes me right back to the summer of '91 whenever I hear this. Still one of the best ever samples. I'd completely forgotten that Tony Hadley actually appears in this video..!

  • Can't believe this song is almost 20 years old, DAMMIT TIME FLYS!! So sick of dumb people nowadays, all they listen too is Trey Songz, Lil Wayne, Ms Keri, Lady O Gaga, all that CRAP with nonsence which reason WHY PEOPLE ARE COCKY AND MEAN Today. This is Real Music. Feel Me??

  • one of the best remakes of a song, love it

  • Spandau never sounded soooo sexy and confident... hell yeah.

  • When I was a kid and I didn't realize he said he wanted Christina Applegate lol.

  • I'll put her back the rest ...thats the way it goes I guess

  • Old school Musics Never dies Thumbs Up for old school

  • @colless09 I agree. I miss those days. =(

  • Love this video. All videos look the same now.

  • erik b and rakim beat from the 80's paid in full

  • @juniorsgv88 Spandau Ballet true as well.. That is what makes the song IMO. a brilliant way to mix two completely different music genres...

  • i love how these guys used Spandau Ballets part of TRUE. often confused for being Tears for Fears. The were way ahead of their time with the sampling part, now adays artists use sampled parts of older songs to try to make their lack of talent seem better. PM Dawn was great even if for one hit!

  • @icbm777 this song´s absolutly timeless. perfekt song.

  • i like how the other guy doesnt sing but just bobs his head. lol

  • has anyone looked at occult symbolism in this vid ? do your research guys.

  • THIS IS THE BEST SONG EVER MADE!!!

    lol

  • this song & few othrs i'll allways love . man i've been lookn 4 ths othr 90's song (ths is gonna sound spastic) the chours the girls sing goes "i like it.... ohh i like iit, the rapper has a real low voice thts all i can remember. i just got the song in my head

  • So good...oh the memories!

  • THEY DIDN'T HAVE MANY HITS THIS WAS ONE FOR SURE

  • A True Gem!!! ... My life was set on these type of songs... songs that weaved the soundtrack of my life! Growing up in the 90's in the hood sitting on the stoop. These jams were the best and all the hope a kid had.

I miss the 90's terribly. I set adrift a memory bliss of my life on these songs.

  • If this isnt the orignal Dream, i don't know what is

  • awesome music.....nothing beats the 90's hits! =)

  • These people should learn to write their own music instead of just using the great compositions of previous artists (in this case Spandau Ballet).

The song is ok, but I'm so sick of singers and groups these days just sampling other's music. Can't people compose their own music anymore!

Quick and dirty sampled shit is at least 50% of what studios turn out now....

  • @cyborgx333 i know what u mean kanye west is the biggest knob...but this is just more than about the beat..this song is just pure chilled it's awesome...another great song that stole an amazing beat swv 'right here'...but such a tune

  • @cyborgx333

It´s pretty much oldschool (1988)... Nothing 'these days', and back in those days afaik all rap/hip-hop used samples of other songs, it's pretty much how 'modern' hip-hop got started.

But these days, mainstream music... Mostly sucks indeed when sampling, I hate most of it already anyway lol.

  • I never would't have found out about this song if it wasn't for vh1's top 100 hip hop songs.... this song is sooo beautiful!!!

  • this song brought in all the chick back in the day...great song

  • Christina Applegate, you gotta put me on! This is THEE song!

  • dammmmm this song is the song

  • Tony Hadley cameo at 3:40-3:41 , he is the lead vocals of the group Spandau Ballet...doing back up vocals for PM Dawns greatest hit!!!

  • I love this song

  • Normally I dont like remakes/rearranges etc, but this is a cool song that only adds to the credit of Spandau Ballet's piece. Classic

  • OMG ! this song reminds me of high school and the first time I ... did that.

  • Awesome. This one goes to my best list.

  • great song i love the sound of it.

  • sper chingon me recuerda mi infancia mi vida en el hip hop

  • SUMMER ANTHEM NUMBER 2!!!!!

  • Top summer anthem .. Brings back memories ... thank you so much for posting.

  • Again another great song from this group...What ever happened to this kind of talent? Today's music is so superficial and transparent it's all about being a gansta or a thug...It's a shame that kind of music is popular with the kids of today...I'm glad I lived and enjoyed these kinds of music in my life...Thanks PM Dawn....

  • @mickeysnakeboy1960

Gangsta rap been around since the late 80s, where have you been? There is still music like this, but I bet you don't look as hard as you may have in past years. Radio is garbage, and for the most part always has been (esp. since 2000+). Popular music (Hip Pop) is in because that's what people want...no substance, just ME ME ME and look what I've got. =(

  • I hear you man. This is great music, and all about lyrical meaning and good times. I can't even stand to listen to the radio nowadays.

  • @mickeysnakeboy1960 : right!
