So any decision on whether to start doing more prep videos, or have you decided to just do the incorporating method? The birdshot will do, but you should really have some 00 or 000 Buckshot and some Rifled Slugs. Those are the rounds I'd have, particularly if they are for self-defense. You might also check into a choke for your shotgun if you wanted to use it and your birdshot rounds for some hunting down the line. Just a thought. Sardines are good, but dont' focus on them exclusively.

Using 00 for home defense is a good way to kill your own family, or even a neighbor. #4 buck has effective stopping power without the wall penetration.

take a screwdriver (flathead) pry open the top of the birdshot round. Pour out the bird shot and discard. Fill it up with some ball bearings, reseal and mark with perm marker. Keep the special shells handy on a side mounted shell holder, or as your first few rounds in the tube mag.

I know it's a bit ghetto, but it will save money and hopefully put down someone fairly quick as opposed to bird shot which might piss someone off if not within decent range.

You should be able to find 10 rifled slugs for under 12 bucks.

Only Sabots should be that expensive, but they require a rifled barrel, so it would be pointless to get those unless you're going to invest 180 bucks for the barrel for your Mossberg.

You might want to make the #4 shot your first investment. It's hard to find lately.

Turkey loads are a good choice, but are usually magnums. I use #4 lead which is basically the same, but less penetration, so less chance of wall splatter, or shooting through a wall and hitting my family.
