  • @DieselCrawler86 I have worn out more starretts than any make, I love them, but most of my work is repair and down and dirty, the cheepos work just fine, buy them by the half dozen, if it gives you heart burn chuck it!

  • It is a real pleasure to watch such obviously well-practised machining skills in action. Though I admit I was grateful you didn't use welding on an original clock shaft. A difficult repair due to the nature of forces on this particular shaft. Congratulations on your successful completion of this component. I have watched part 2 and look forward to further instalments, as promised. Thanks for sharing your projects.
