i know everyone is sayin it sounds the same , but i can tell the difference ,, it sounds wayyy better ... and in person .... i'll probally just have an or-g
the exhaust sound is only sound change not performance change, well it makes slight perf. change if the exhaust pipe was high flow, but at the end its just to make the strokes of the engine sounds cool from the exhaust nozzel.but i love loud exhaust sounds.gr8 vid 5/5
well what you have to realize is that the shelby already has high flo/performance mufflers on it to begin with, when i put my exhaust on my car, i heard an instant result, but a week later, the sound changed, it got better, louder...the had been "broken in." Plus, older GT's have a very restrictive exhaust, you poke a hole in the muffler of a GT and you will notice a difference, atleast i did.
ok I might be wrong about the roush having an indepedent. But I saw one with an indepedent, it may have been a after market add on-to a roush. But I don't know why people are crapping their pants..if you want a supercar from ford..buy a Ford GT...the mustang was always meant for the mainstream consumer..and especially Americans. We do not have hair pin turns here, mainly highways. Having an indep suspension would be nice, but impractical and extra $ to the bill.
I know what you're talking about with the Roush's... Peoples with cobras sent their cars to Saleen and Roush to get body parts and other stuff like that.
youre refering to a Roush Stage 3. although they tuned the suspension, its still a solid axle. the roush is just rediculously ugly. the body kit looks like something a 12 year old would draw up.
oh never knew..I swore I saw a Top gear or some kinda comparision between the roush GT500 counter part vs a production GT500 and the suspension made a considerable time difference on the track. Do any of them or 3rd party come with indp susp?
ye Clarkson compared the 2. on a track the roushs small tweaks to the suspension really do make a huge difference though. IRS is overrated. what roush has done is just as good. no one as of yet as far as i know has done anything about the solid rear axle. everyone claims its a huge downfall but really it isnt. Roush has worked it out very well. around a track the roush stage 3 can get around as quick as aBMW M3, although the roush is catastrophically ugly.
if i were to buy any of the "aftermarket" mustangs i would buy a Saleen 302 extreme, the one with 620 HP or id buy a Shelby and turn it into a super snake and get 725+ HP lol. thats tight
saleen 302 extreme has a lot of trouble keeping that power on the road though. my uncle has one. at high speed its virtually undrivable because theres just too much torque. the traction control just sort of goes "....well i dunno what to do! theres just so much!" and if you take the TC off then it just sits there and the tires spin. the super snake has a similar problem but it deals with it better.
from what I know thats always been mustangs problem, ima huge mustang fan but fastest car in my city, well out of a normal car (take out lambos n ferraris and porsche)
ouit of a street car the fastest that i and most people know of is an 04 Cobra, but it cant really race the quarter miles because once it catches traction the Evo or STI is already halfway down the track, its overpowered.
it is a problem for sure, one that ford should have fixed LONG ago. but its pretty overblown. ive seen people invest a lot of money into giving their stangs IRS, and after all that money invested they find out that the performance hasnt been improved quite as much as they had hoped for.
sounds much better, nice!

honestly i thought there wud be more of a difference..but there isnt..
my gt had a huge diff in sound wen i changed my exhaust.
UnKnSoldier 2 years ago
1. youre hearing the sound difference from a video
2. it takes about a week or so of driving for the exhaust sound to fully kick in and sound good
khenry1991 2 years ago
1. My results were instant.
2. If you heard mine on video, it would be 3(.) times louder.

southnyourmind 2 years ago
there's probably a big difference that you can't notice. lots of the change is probably lost in either
a) the camera used to film this
b) the video being converted to youtube quality
c) your computer speakers not being able to reproduce what change there is
but i bet the difference is worth it. nice car :)

Isn't M5230-5GT the Stingers for the Mustang GT? Do they fit the GT500 as well? Do they still drone?

yes they are but they fit on GT500 too as you can see/hear.

wayyy too much. MSRP is 42 grand. I dont think they are even worth it. A bit over 3900 pounds. It's the shelby name your paying for really.

you should just buy a roush
magicalpoop 3 years ago
The roush is just a GT with a supercharger and a thousand dollars in extra plastic.
codip426 3 years ago
um yes and no. depends which roush you get..i'm talking about the one with indepedent suspension ..that's pretty big over the solid rear axles..
magicalpoop 3 years ago
Roush has a straight axle...

IRS pretty much bogus for any type of racing.
