  • I admit I have never heard of Fates Warning before, but it seems to me on first glance, they are kind of like a mix of Judas Priest, Testament and Metallica.

  • Look when Arch left Fates went totally into different direction with their music Ray Alder is a totally different singer from Arch, just think if Arch stayed in the band I think one of the best metal bands in the world.

  • mweh, to me the the early Fates Warning was sound with agression of ''Anarchy Divine'', the fantasy driven stuff of ''Fata Morgana, Exodus'', ect and ofcourse the epic beyond epicness of this track, ''The Apparation'', ect. Songs such as ''Leave the Past Behind'', ''Point of View'', ect are fun once in a while, but nothing that I'd consider amazing.

  • whoa, awesome! epic, I need to get this album!!

  • John Arch great singer and the lyrics he write are out of this world...

  • A master piece.

  • this travels all over the place and can't find home-ground. however, despite it being a very long song its a great tune

  • listen to this whole disk if you are lucky to have it you metal upcommers! This is as real as it gets. These guys led the way for Dream Theatre and the like

  • Everything up to "No Exit" rocks....

    Everything after "No Exit" sucks....

    Any questions?

  • Agreed !!!

  • Yeah, why do you object to musical growth in favor of uniformity. FW were intelligent enough to know that you can't have any artistic integrity if you only ever play one exact type of music.

  • @vaporarrows Yes understandable but i find this stuff way more deep in words and meaning as i find the other new stuff as more instrumentaly advanced i guess its more so taste.Because some bands only do play one type and thats all good too.Not to mention this stuff is quite technical too given it has so many different parts in it also their sound changed guitars got heavier and cleaner.

  • @JoshMurphy666

    Perfect Symmetry isn't too bad.

Parallels and Inside Out are pretty boring commercial rock.

APSoG, Disconnected, and FWX are very good, albeit a very different style of music.

  • I disagree. Every album they have done is great.

I have yet to see what is so wrong with the more progressive stuff they have done. APSOG, and PS are just as much masterpieces as TSW and NE. IMO that is.

  • The 3 albums with John Arch Rule!

Go buy them Today! And Remember...Old School Metal Rules!!!!

  • plz dnt tell me u just compared this to wierd al

  • All hail Fates Warning and John Arch!

  • this is a must have for any metal artist, collector, way ahead of its time. Long Live John Arch
