  • It´s fucked up to beat up an innocent person, but even if he did something, beating up someone, who is allready handcuffed, is just inhuman and unacceptable behaviour. These cops should have been arrested and thrown in jail for a long time.

  • Fucking cops, fuck yourselves before I fuck you all by myself, bitches.

  • This is unacceptable and those "policemen" should be let go immediately. There is no excuse for professional lawmen to behave like hooligans. They have extra power given to them by the constitution and the people in order to serve society in a responsible way. This power is not to be taken for granted or misused in any way. Their responsibility is for that exact reason is great and they should be punished immediately. The excuses made by their lawyer are ridiculous, there are none to be made!

  • @ papagamias you are working for the Greek police or Army or goverment! We the Alevi people never corporate with fascits like you learn that. I never told that Greeks are ignorant do not lie. They nearly kill this young boy and you are still advocaating this fascit pigs. papagamias you are banned do not come to Turkey Alevi people do not like fascist dogs like you you are not a Greek you are just a fascist! Who is going to protect us from the police? I agree with lotusjasmin thanxs jasmin

  • Alevis are at this moment the best people you can find in Turkey. I know about their community, do not think I am ignorant (usually Greeks ignore Alevis or the Bektashis etc.).

Do not think I have any illusion about police being merely there for the protection of people, I know very well that they are there to protect above all "the system". But that is not the problem of police as an institution but that of society and politics. Extrapolating societal and political problems to police is no use

  • The policeman was not supposed to beat blindly. But then he admitted himself from the first moment and he apologised, there was no case of searching to find out who he was (he could just remain silent, the Cypriot would not be able to recognise him).

What I liked is that he says "I told them I a Cypriot, look my identity card".

As if we could not tell by his Cypriot accent! Hehe!!!

I would like to know what the real culprit had done for policement to beat him like that...

  • lols I get it :)

fucking cops everywhere the same. I really hate them as a normal person anyone who like cops is just fascist or crazy. Hey Riot is right if you want to live in fascism come nad live here friend there are alot of Sunni islamofascists like you here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can even be A Turkish Cop shame on you!!!!!!!

  • I do not like cops, but I am not against the idea of police - under certain conditions of course - the problem is not police but politics.

If you hate police you have to live in countries like Mexico. With no police, you will have to be either a killer or you will be fucked every day of your sad life.

I have no problem to live in a society of no policing but I would be certainly a killer. Big time.

But then ask yourself what kind of society would be that.

  • Zapatistas have no palice and I am an alevi we the Turkish&Kurdish Alevi people lived without police for centuries. we never kill we never steal the family education and the social life is the most important thing. Anarchist people dont sell drugs where as all around Europa cops are selling drugs. Anarchist people dont kill cops does etc... its possible friend. In my comunity if you kill you are kicked from the Alevi-church and from the community.

  • Police is to protect the system and sytem works for criminals such as bank owners gun factories big corporations cartels political corporations. In the Alevi Community the pray wouldn't start before fixing the problems between people. Example If some one robs are take from others 6 montsh or 1 year they cant join the community. A killer don't have a right to join our pray ceremony and not allowed to join our community. Its possible :)

  • In Turkey the Alevi people vote for left wing and 30 million alevi People are living where as nearly none of the criminals are Alevi! Because we learn to share and we are educated we don't believe in violence our families teach us how to behave. Unless the sunnis Alevi women pray with man together and Women are important in the community. it depends on the culture friend Peace :)

  • Zapatistas are an Alternative Community without Police in Mexico friend.

Sorry friend we the Alevi People have many commons with Greek people we are both aganist authority.

  • /watch?v=-WTNfyWmb8g

  • The "real culprit" could not have done more than beating someone so much and wishing the death of an innocent foreign person. It's sad to see some people like you making propaganda here in such a disgusting way.

  • @papagamias this guy was totally innocent, and it was justifiable proven afterwards, so you are saying its ok that the police beat him up thinking he was someone else, what kind of justifiable mistake do you think that is! Completely unacceptable, do not try and defend what they did!

  • "fuckerpriest" as is ur nickname, declares what kind of a fucking hot for police brutality bich u r! ask yourself, police is here 2 b the court on street? police cheef is there 2 see police brutality doing nothing? anouncemet that he heart himself hitting on the bike means what? we all know how it works, 1 take responsibility 2 cover others. Its obvious u r a fasist of old times playing 4 dictatorship. Democracy gives the right even to pigs like u 2 speak, don't ask if we r free 2 walk on street

  • @papagamias

Democracy gives the right to fasists against democracy to talk shit, so dont ask if everyone has the right to walk on streets without being beaten by ppl who are animals and have psyhologial problems and became policemen to take advantage of thie father beating them

come back and say the same things when you will be beaten by mistake because these happen often

  • Comment removed

  • You think a lot as if a dictatorship is leading this place called Greece. You are wrong, there are still freedoms that police doesn't respect, e.g. when the police is out for whatever reason (riots or anything else) people can walk on the streets. Greece doesn't have a military rule put in force, as far as I am concerned, so the question "What did he do among rioters" is no question at all.

  • papagamias you are an error yourself! your mother must apoligise from the world because of you. I can't believe people still can talk about a subject like this. It is clear but you don't want to see. You have a brain but you deny!

  • to the greek people:continue to bomb those pigs with molotov cocktails, that is what they deserve

  • @FireFox9032: No my friend, Greece is not Europe's shit hole. All the young people who lives here in Greece are fighting for a better future. We don't like this situation! We are the victims of the government. So fuck yourself and support us!

  • Save your flag waving for your mirror and wake up. Greece is, and has been, on a downhill vortex to Hell.

Your fighting is fruitless - the problem is not with government - it is with Greek mentality. You're pissing against the wind but are too stupid to realize it.

  • Greece is full of daily bank robberies and thefts, noise & air pollution, political & financial corruption, immigrants stealing from the elderly, unemployment, heavy heroin use, beggars on urine soaked street, garbage piling up in the streets, graffiti on buildings, corrupt police, stray dogs on city streets, people living in fear behind barricaded doors. Greece is Europe's shit hole.

  • Is every country in Europe getting like this starting with the countries close to the European borders? Greece is not the only country suffering!

  • Some European countries are better, others are worse. That doesn't make anything better for Greece.

  • Are you anti Greek?

  • No. Does it make any difference to the situation in Greece?

  • No, but I wasn't stating that Greece doesn't have these problems. I know that they exist and so does everyone else in the country! It's not only Greece but every country in Europe is suffering one way or another.

  • That means we must realize the situation and correct it. Let there be light!

  • Its too late it will take generations to correct it, if the government carries on at this speed!

  • Those things happen in every European country. Secondly, I don't know why your judging Greeks here when the government is failing. Greeks oppose them as well. Secondly, have you been to Italy, parts of France, Poland, Bulgaria, Ukraine, or even Slovakia? Those things happen there as well.

  • Should we hide things when they happen all over the place? I don't think so, we must see what's happening, remember it and correct it. People without history are people without future.

  • My wife wants to take a vacation to Greece! NO WAY IN HELL!

  • Why because of a single riot that happened this year? Fine take her to England or France where riots happen every year...

Hell even more riots have happened in Italy. since they're in the same turmoil Greece is.

  • This event didn't happen during last year's riot (2008-2009). However it seems that the history was repeated once more and the police killed a 15 y.o. boy the years that followed, which triggered the riot.

  • OMFG Boikot Greece!

  • omg pooor boy:( hope those cops die a pain fulll death

  • The best way to bring the cops to the right way is to put a bomb in all greek cops ass and to fire them all.

All greek cops are gays, they love it to get fucked.

  • this fuckin cop apologise? we doesn't care meligalas have a lot of place left

  • tsese cops aren't people they are just animals they are fuckin fascist who doesn't deserve to be alive

  • Who are those people in 0:15?

Is he burning the Greek flag?

  • These people: "episodes take place between hooded protesters and police". The hooded person in black apparently burns the Greek flag. He *is not* the Cypriot student. (Cannot tell for sure what this person is... could be left-wing extremist, right-wing extremist, policeman, any kind of extremist or provocateur)

  • This is not a good sigh whatever it is.

  • Of course burning a flag of any country is not a good sign, such extremist actions do not come out of nowhere of course. The fact is that human rights meant nothing for Greek police that bullied, abused and even killed people for decades. The burning of a flag should not and cannot justify police brutality against people, as this innocent student whose life was destroyed. Greek police denied him the right to walk freely, study, be treated as a human being. Shame on the Greek police!

  • you mean they shouldn't be free to walk on the streets?!!?!

  • Turkey only defends itself and the minorities in other countries. Turkey never attacks to kill innocent civilians like the Greeks. The Greeks rape and kill everywhere they go, they are like animals

  • acab......FUCK POLICE!!!

  • I mean that Greece is a fascist nation which opresses minorities and violates human rights. Everybody knows that. Greece is the shame of the European Union. Greece would be worse if Turkey was not keeping an eye on Greeece. Turkey actually makes sure that Greece will not make another genocide that the Greeks dream of. Your coward nation is always up to something, and Turkey prevents you. That is why you dont like Turkey. That is my objective opinion on Greece and the Greeks. PEACE

  • Turkey does the same. They use police whenever a demonstration is held, isn't that true? They use white cells and keep political prisoners, isn't that true? They judge people based on religion, don't they? Violation of human rights is what still keeps Turkey out of EU. Will it be fixed if Turkey enters EU? No, look at Greece. So I say it's best that both nations come together and fix the problems of their people. Greece doesn't need to spend on guns, Turkey doesn't need to counter-buy guns.

  • Instead both countries could give money for schools, hospitals, doctors, teachers, theaters, culture. It depends on us, the people, to demand such changes.

We share so many cultural elements, we have common words, common food, common traditions... What's the point to be fanatics about each other and leave our leaders make money on our misery?

  • Look Turkey needs the guns to protect itself from invasions. Greece has tried to destroy Turkey in the past and make our proud nation suffer. We hold nothing against the Greek but the truth is the Greeks cannot be trusted. We do not need the EU. On the contrary the EU needs Turkey. There are political prisoners all over the world not only in Turkey, and they are called terrorists. Do not be brainwashed by the Greek media and the armenian people

  • This is the same excuse leaders use in Greece, they say "We need the guns to be protected from Turkey". EU needs Turkey for controlling its people, as it does for Greece. Leaders need EU for stealing funds. The boy in the video was beaten because the policemen "were trying to enforce the anti-terrorism law"[sic], for that Vyron Polydoras gave them his congratulations. There are political prisoners all over the world, but holding them *must stop*: in Greece, Turkey, USA, or any other country.

  • Cyprus is greek. Period!

  • Cyprus is not greek. It's Cypriot. It was separated from Greece centuries ago as it was conquered by many nations and then its nation was free. Finally half of it was conquered by Turkey, also because of Greek involvement to its political life (remember the Greek military junta). So, it Cypriot, of Greek and Turkish people that were living there together. They speak a dialect of Greek and a dialect of Turkish, which sound more harsh in both versions.

  • and you talk about the junta which was a dicatorship established by the CIA and sent to HELL from the greek people in '74? you re not serious right?

And a last remark to the silly comment about the dialect: yes, it's a greek dialect! A dialect just like any other greek dialect like cretan, macedonian, rhodian or whatsoever! Don't humiliate yourself with further comments, thank you!

  • I recall that even before the military junta there was monarchy, with many violations of human rights, many people in exile, others sentenced to death, etc. a "Nazi" monarchy (literally).

I think that recent results at a recent poll by a major Greek TV channel, showed the dictator among the 100 "model" Greeks... unfortunately, there are many people in Greece (more than you may think of) that do not condemn such systems. It is obvious, otherwise the incident in the video wouldn't have happened.

  • you re gonna tell me the history of cyprus? With your logic Greece is not greece because it was conquered by different powers. parts of greece were maltesian, venetian whatsovever! Cyprus was till the last century a british colony and the british didnt want to give it back to the greeks due to the geographic importance! you talk about the turkish cypriots? which made 15% before the turkish invasion?

  • Greece ultimately remained Greece, because there were free Greek people. In Cyprus there were Cypriot people, a mixture of origins as you say as well:

Greeks, French, English, Turkish, Lebanese, who knows what else... they all came out as Cypriots.

History does not "erase" people, you can choose to ignore it but its there. The elimination of people is a practice Hitler used, it is the same practice either we talk about 15% or 100% of some people. Reconsider such opinions, please.

  • This is Greece. What a fucked up country. Who wants to spend his holiday in Greece now? Nobody. I will prefer Turkey for my holidays, like each year - friendly people and polite. Greece is a fascist shithole, most of the Greeks are neo-nazis and hate the rest of the world. Ignore Greece for it's fascist inhabitants and it's racist policies towards minorities who live in Greece.

  • Unfortunately, you are true about Greece. It has become a fascist nation and it would be better if people wouldn't go to it for vacations. An Australian guy went and was beaten to death.

You are wrong about Turkey though, because you are blind about where this violence comes from. Look at the video, it shows clearly: all oppresive states use police to abuse people's rights.

All such nations need our help, regardless of name. Turkey shouldn't use white cells, Greece shouldn't beat people.

  • psofaaa re malaka poutane stinomike ton la8os lei epiasan i malakes mounia tis kinoniAss !

  • Cypriots are cypriot wich come from greeks so cypriots are greeks

  • btw he is not Foreign he is Cypriot therefore Greek

  • Cyprus is not the same country as Greece, so Cypriots are not Greeks. The policemen couldn't know anyway, since they've *never* asked for his identification card.

  • the only sure thing in world is: POLICE IS THE SAME SHIT!!

    POLICE IS FEAR

  • Couldn't agree more.

  • In 2000 a 20 year old man was shot in the neck because he did not want to get out of his car. In 2007 a 21 year old man was shot and killed in his own home because the swedish police felt scared of him. The police officer stod 15 meters away from the 21 year old. I can go on and on. Sweden is a fake bullshit country that pays organisations who tell lies about how democratic Sweden is.

  • @tempac91: Your ideas are really unhuman, you propose that the role of police is to terrorize everyone to leave a country.

@Fadjiii: spread these incidents if they are hidden, people need to know about them to take act against them :)

  • Well, you call everybody names...

    obviously you are racist...

you say killers and human rights violators are good ppl...

I feel really sad ppl like you think so extreme these days :S

  • The Swedish police murder children and youn men and they never get cought. In 2006 the Swedish police shot 17 year old passenger seven times in a car for not telling driver to stop the car. In 2005 a 19 year old boy was shot and killed because he did not turn of the engine when police told him to.

  • scary video!

    police is dangerous, watch out!!!

  • This guy is Greek-Cypriot and is speaking Greek in the vid.

  • wow, they are like romanian police :|

  • Socking , another hidden incident.

  • correcta ...What For police ?!...

  • They think he was a Turk a.

Greeks are bigger nazis than Hitler .

Maybe they thought he is Macedonian

    (Avgustin Dimitrovski)

  • Unfortunately modern Greece is like that :( Please help Greece become a better place.

  • How would you know what life in Greece is like? You live in Italy, dumbass.

  • Well, if you think that a country in which police violates basic human rights every day, e.g. beating students, killing them, throwing chemicals at civilians etc. has a good life... you're unhuman. For your information, a video can travel everywhere, although Greece tries to hide all those incidents.

  • The use of chemicals is exercised by police forces around the world. They have to keep the peace, how are they gonna do that? Using harsh language? Get real.

Also, your comment about police "killing students" is utterly ridiculous. You put the whole force on trial when it was one crazy cop who did the crime.

  • Police forces around the world don't use chemicals and they don't use harsh language either, unless you refer to countries that violate human rights constantly such as Turkey, Indonesia, Colombia, etc. or military juntas.

1 crazy cop for Grigoropoulos, 1 crazy cop for Tafili, 5 crazy cops for Dimitriou, 1 crazy cop for the student in front of Polytechnic school, 2 crazy cops for Zelilof (I can enumerate more if you want):

too many crazy cops make a set of them, don't you think?

  • The US police has repeatedly used rubber bullets against rioters. She even went as far as to deploy American troops, fresh from their tour in Iraq, on the streets of New Orleans to keep the peace and stop the looting. The Italian police was using tanks with a mounted water cannon against protesters of G20 meeting a few years ago.

There are many examples of first-world countries that take these steps to protect their countries.

Also, there are 50000 policemen is Greece; I count 10 bad ones.

  • You may haven't noticed that, but other countries' police forces cause minimum damage with their guns (if they use them). Rubber bullets and water are totally different compared to chemicals. The fact that American troops were used doesn't mean anything, they got trained first and they didn't shoot. On the contrary, Greek cops are not trained and they are reported shooting.

Well... you seem determined to get 10 killed people to say that there is a problem in the force >:(

  • Reports of riots in other countries are always followed by a list of those injured from both sides, cops and rioters.

Rubber bullets are more dangerous than chemicals! They leave big bruises and can even break bones (little ones, like those found in the fingers). There are many softs spots on the human body where a rubber bullet can do lots of damage (eg eyes, testicels, etc).

There were many cases of US troops firing at rioters, including a chopper opening up on a group of looters on TV.

  • Yes maybe. I know some Greeks have problems with Cypriots too.

Einai krima :( euxaristw gia to vid lotus

  • they must have thought he was a turk

  • No, they didn't. if they did he'd be dead :S :( they are even worse to non-Greek speakers :( My apology to all persons tortured by Greek police, Greece is such a corrupted country :S

  • And yet Greece is an EU member-state which proves of how "corrupt" she really is.

  • what a pity...hope to get well better neighbour..
