  • that all is gold?

    you must be rich

  • i wanted to see the gold bar at the end... what a tease.

  • I'd totally inhale those golden vapors.

  • he kept some for him self

  • my crap!!! that was a pure gold nuggets, in a dammit plastic bag!!

  • assuming 31.1034768 grams = 1 troy ounce and 1 pound = 14.5833333 troy ounces and 1 troy ounce of gold value = ~$1,494.33(May 16, 2011). we have 1,494.33(20 x 14.5833333) = $435,846.25(rounded to nearest cent) worth of gold they are 'playing' with there. all I can is, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • We can't see the finished product? I wanted to see the bar of gold.

  • 20 lbs of gold... quite a few dollars there.

  • the ordinry grphite crucible is enough for melting

  • oh i burn gold all the time for shits and gigs too, right after i have my bowl of diamond cereal

  • @pell819 HAHAHAHHAAH, you are funny, dude, ehhehehe

  • 20 pounds!! holy shit that is about $416,000.00 worth of gold

  • Lol you guys are missing the

Point! This can revolitonize the metal market! Imagine a single dad creates a new super allo that he made with this efficent unite!

  • Holy freaking crap, how'd you get 20 pounds of gold?

  • @Supermassively He's a pirate

  • hey rdoinduction, can I have some gold? Got any diamonds? How about just sending me cash?

  • How much is the F16-D Tilt Furnace?

  • Magnetocaloric effect, woo!

  • can you melt sand ?

  • don't you want to torch the top of the bar just after pouring it ???

smooth it out ! and 1 little dark spot ?carbon ?

  • If you have silver too so try to melt a silver and gold together ( im not sure...)

  • seems like the walls are being heated , not gold

  • @Thetruthishere11 _ The walls are a Silicon Carbide crucible, which the primary field is being induced into, however there is RF Field effect in the metal as well to give it a stirring effect. If melting gold, especially karat gold directly it is quite easy to burn off some of the lower melting point alloys, thus changing the overall karat content

  • @rdoinduction

interesting. Graphite and silicon carbide crucible not good enough for me if i need to melt iron.

  • @Thetruthishere11 this is correct - this system is tuned for a graphite or SIC load and is strictly for melting gold, silver and other non-ferrous metals. For iron and other high temperature metals, the system would tuned to the load and the crucible or furnace lining would be of a high temperature ceramic or refractory material

  • This is freaking amazing

  • KW of the unit ?

  • @salut151 - system is 24kW in power with a 38 kg gold capacity

  • cool video!
